There is a thermal cutoff switch in all hairdryers. If you by accident block the air intake or the filter is dirty, then the heat from the nichrome wire is not sufficiently cooled to keep the thermal switch from tripping. After the dryer cools down then the thermal switch resets and allows operation. Be sure the air flow into the dryer is not obstructed

My wight knight wk767 condensing tumble dryer keeps tripping the electrics in my house when i turn it on the reset button at the is ok what is the cause .

Simply there is to much load on the breaker so its tripping to protect your home. I'm not an electrician so I am giving you info based off my experience. Some houses, most I think, have a special plug for the dryer and you can buy a different plug that screws on to the dryer depending on which plug your home has. You may need to upgrade your existing plug in the wall if its an older house. Also, I believe that circuits is on its own breaker separate from the rest so it shouldn't Tripp anything else but the dryer\washer. You can easily fix this yourself if you are confident in dealing with shutting off the electricity and rewiring the outlet or the dryer plus. If not then a electrician can do it easily allbet at a fee. Often times the Home depot or Lowes reps will give you advice but you have to understand its only advice. I would take a picture of the plug and the wall outlet and the breaker. This way you have something to show them at the store when you ask about the plug. One other thing it might be is that the dryer has a bad hearing element or sensor and its drawing to much current causing the trip of the breaker but usually dryers have a $50 fuse on the back that's supposed to blow out first.

My beko dryer keeps tripping my electric box

We had similar problem with a different type dryer. Turned out to be a weak / older / bad breaker in the electrical panel. Every so often it would just trip the breaker for no reason.
The owner thought it was the dryer itself - and bought a new one - but problem remained.
In our case - solved by electrician putting in a new breaker in the panel for the dryer.
Could still be your dryer though, in your case.
Suggest:
- make sure dryer vent is not plugged by lint or other stuff.
[ When running, check that you've got good flow of hot air coming out the outside vent. If NO, could be a plugged up vent. We've had that too before. Disassemble, clear out vent tubes, check for plugged up screens, on the outside too, there is sometimes a screen in the outlet - it could get plugged. The screen is important - to keep out leaves & animals & stuff - but typically gets plugged up. Then dryer overheats and shuts itself off or trips the breaker. Also - you'll find that it takes longer to dry anything if the flow of air going out is restricted.]

Neptune dryer has power but will not spin.I hear a faint click comming from the left side. model#MDE9700AYM

An electric Neptune clothes dryer, like most electric clothes dryers, has two circuit breakers: one for the drum and another for the heating element. Both breakers need to be in the "on" position for it to run properly. Go to your main circuit box. Reset both of the dryer's circuit breakers to the "on" position. If one of the breakers trips again, there's a problem with the dryer component that it operates. Contact a dryer repair technician to evaluate the machine's condition.
The lid switch is a small latch located on the interior of the door frame on your Neptune clothes dryer. It keeps the door securely shut when the dryer's on to prevent injury should you open the door and reach inside while it's turning. If the lid switch becomes damaged, the dryer won't turn on even though its lights might work. Run your finger over the lid switch and listen for a clicking sound. If you don't hear a sound when the latch is compressed, it's faulty and needs to be swapped out.

The thermal cut-off is a heat-sensitive safety feature on a Neptune clothes dryer that shuts off the heating element if the dryer overheats. After it activates, it can't be reset; you must replace it. Until it's replaced, your dryer might only partially function, so while its lights might turn on, the dryer might not spin or heat. Don't exchange an old thermal cut-off for a new one until you first determine what promoted it to trip, otherwise your dryer likely will overheat again.

I have a Amana Electric Dryer NED5500TQ. When I

It is possible that you could have a bad breaker in the panel. They will start to trip randomly when they are going bad. If not the dryer is drawing too many amps and the breaker is doing it's job. If the heating element is defective and drawing extra juice that could trip the breaker. Usually replacement breakers are not too expensive if you electrical panel is less then 20 years old and can be purchased at most home improvement stores. I would try replacing the breaker before you try repairing the dryer. If you install a new breaker and the problem continues to happen then you should check the dryer heating element. That component is what draws the most amps and would be the most common one for tripping the breaker.

Breaker was inadvertantly tripped by person which shut dryer off when reset breaker dryer wont work

You have to test the voltage to verify that the breaker did reset. Unplug the dryer, and verify that you have 240 volts at the receptacle

Dryer trips house circuit breakers when I turn it on.

Hello rarakaki,
I assume that you are referring to an electric dryer and that when you run it, it trips the main house breaker. If that is correct, then you may be running too many appliances simultaneously and that will draw curent , beyond the maximum rated value of your house main breaker. It is also possible that your main breaker may be going bad and tripping below it rated current value. I suggest you do the following: Shut off other appliances or electrical equipment in other rooms and then try running your dryer. If it operates and does not trip the main breaker , then the comments stated above are the problem. You may need to have an electrician replace your main breaker and/or change your service to a higher value. Please get back to me if I am incorrect in understanding your problem. Regards,
Rick

Whirlpool electric dryer keeps tripping main circuit breaker

First off, be sure the pigtail is wired correctly to the back of the unit. Black and red to the outside terminals, white to the middle, green to the frame or cabinet (should be a green screw close-by). If that is ok, you probably have an issue with possibly a bad pigtail, bad outlet, wiring issue, or possibly a bad circuit breaker or breaker box. Probably going to be more of a electrical problem than a appliance problem. Good Luck!!!!
