My friend has a set of infinity il 40 The speakers have 4 terminals on back hf top 2 and lf bottom 2 why 4 terminals if they are full range speakers and which do you hook them up to

They're supposed to be jumpered together (plus-to-plus; minus-to-minus) and you can run speaker wires to either pair.

Do some web research on BI-WIRING to see why the speakers within each cabinet have the ability to be run separately. Hold on to your wallet if you buy into the hype.

Ok. I inherited my rangemaster 110 when I moved house. I've no manual but a digital clock with a bell, 2 strange looking things that I presume mean ho and oven, then a hand and a plus and minus button. ...

Most of these timers have 3 buttons, the hand and the plus and minus buttons. Try pressing the minus and plus buttons at the same time. The display should flash. Then adjust the time with the plus and minus buttons. If this doesn't work just try different combinations of pressing 2 buttons. If the timer is not faulty on of these combinations will work.

I'm having a problem hooking up these speakers... It has 4 hookups in the back of it which ones do I use? I just have a standard reciever to hook them up to...

look at this picture...

The vertical jumpers are removable if one wishes to BI-amp them. If not, leave them in place and connect your speaker wire conventionally - plus to plus, minus to minus.

The picture here...

http://community.whathifi.com/forums/post/265617.aspx

shows what to do if the jumpers are missing. Just fashion a short jumper for each to connect the top woth the bottom on each side.

Google bi amplification speakers if you're bi-curious. ;-)

Oven does not reach set temp

What are using to measure temp ? Are you using a grocery store bi-metal or professional thermal probe ? and further to that, how long are you waiting to check temp. after range "beeps" or announces preheat complete ? The bi-metal type thermometers do take several minutes longer to reach actual temp as opposed to the ranges temp. probe. Does this unit have the "hidden" bake element ? That sounds like a huge temp difference. These units do require an additional 10mins of wait time after announcing ("BEEP") the preheat is complete (check your manual, it should confirm this) Elements don't go "bad" it either comes on (amp draw) or it doesn't.

hope this helps.

good luck

My Thermostat shows that the teperature is hotter than it is in the evening, thus the furnace is off and the whole house is cold all night.

If you have a bi-metal t-stat it will be plus or minus 10 degrees. If you have a digital t-stat it is accurate plus or minus 1 degree. You can adjust a bi-metal t-stat but not a digital. If it is the t-stat not keeping the right temp. then you will need to change it.
