SOURCE: I seem to have trouble fitting the belt tensioner

Not that I am aware of, but it will only work one way. If your trying to put this together with belt in place wait to put the belt on until last. You can thin offset the spring and slip the belt over the pulley/tensioner.

SOURCE: Simpson Maxidry Tumble dryer (Cloths dryer) How

Hi there, There is a switch at the bottom of the dryer. It has a groove for the spring to fit around. Then the spring goes through the metal tag with the holes in the pulley. The pulleys 2 prongs then fits into the slot near the motor. The belt goes through the pulley and around the motor wheel. When fitting the drum, tape the belt at three points on the drum with the machine door facing down making installation easier. Once installed remove the tape. The dryer now works like a dream. You will have to disassemble the dryer sufficiently to gain access to the belt, then remove it, install a replacement belt, and reasssemble the dryer.

Hi I have a Simpson 4kg eziloader dryer that keeps tripping the power mains . Would this be the timer ?

The heating element uses the most power. Was the home wired by a licensed election ( the dryer plug)? if it was it should have #8 or #10 wire depending on the load. the breaker is sized to the wire (so don't change it). you may have a clogged vent pipe. this will reduce air flow and make the dryer work harder possibly tripping the breaker. You should probably start by making sure you vent is clear and free from debris, debris in the vent could cause a fire.

Is it a big job to replace the heater element on the Simpson Sirocco 350 dryer?

It won't be the element unless a wire from it is grounding against the casing. You most likely have some sort of issue with the home breaker.

Simpson espirit 750 won't turn on

Hi, This may sound obvious, but have you checked the fuse? if the machine is completly dead this may be the problem or the ON/OFF switch is faulty. If there is life in the machine the problem could be the door switch. If the fuse has blown then there could be a fault such as heater element blown, is the most common to blow a fuse.

My dryer is working but there is no heat coming out

First place to look is to check if the "overheat" contact or the heater element has blown.

Hi guys got a simpson maxidry 1000p dryer problem is that it has no heat is it stuffed or can it be fixed

Hi there,

Well first of all you may check out the Heating element - If a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter (volt meter). No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it (electric heating element not repairable) further you may check the Thermal fuse - A thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse, which is about an inch long, usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. And the last dought goes on the Wiring - you need to deep inspect the wiring in your dryer and check for any burnt sign.

Good Luck!!

Thanks for using FixYa!!

Need to replace the heat element for my Dryer Kemore

sorry couldnt find your modle number, but kenmore dryers are enerally whirlpools in which case are easy to replace. the harder issue is determining if this is your problem.I would assume your guessing on a bad heater, only for the face that if you truly did check hte heater, you would find how to remove it( a few screws will release it from its mounting. A simple check with a Meter will determine if indeed it has gone bad. A more likely source or just as common cause of no heat would be a blown thermal fuse, or a bad high limit thermostat, all can be checked for continuity with a meter
