A diagram will be on the belly of the mower. If not the owners manual will have it. If not available they are on the web to view for free. Just google the make and model number to finf it

My Wheel Horse mower acted like low on gas so I filled it. Turned on the mower blades and off and on when moving and it seemed like a belt slipped. It ran unevenly, quit running and won't start.

Even if you have slipped or broken the blade belt, that would have nothing at all to do with keeping it from starting UNLESS you are trying to start it with the blades still engaged. Check that.

The belt keeps falling off my lawnmower. Can't seem to solve the problem. Had to replace it 3 x now

Hi Patty:
Sounds like you're having more grief than you need.
My Craftsman has been excellent and believe me, it gets it's share of hard use.
I'd suggest that you double check the routing, and make sure that the tension idler spring is set so that maximum pressure is applied.
It's also a technique that minimizes wear to engage the blade at medium low rpm and then increase the rpm.
Also, check all of the idler mounts to make sure the bolts are tight.
Cheers.

Blade keeps slipping off.cant be put back on without spending 15+ minutes and a cut hand. Is there an easy way

There should be an adjusting knob to tip the upper wheel back and forth till you get it right to keep the blade tracking. This is similar in function to a belt sander adjustment.

To put the blade back on release the tension and carefully thread it though , wind the wheels manually, and gently guide it back in place, then reapply the tension.

I need a diagram for the timing belt on my castel garden 20/122

pauly46_0.gifpauly46_1.gif hi there winger1886

pauly46 here

with 20/122 the blade timming must with one blade vertical and one blade horizontal
doesnt matter which one but as long as there is 90 degrees between blade as the rotate
in the picture the r/h blade rotates anticlockwise and the l/h blade rotates clockwise

the picture for belt / blade timming is straight forward - loosen tensioner rod and back it off completely , loosen 2 x bolts under the two toothed pulleys and remove the 2 belt guide/ stoppers from the l/h side - place both blades in the rqd position ( you may need someone to hold other blade in rqd position - fit the belt onto pulleys as in the diagram- continually check while fitting that timming has not moved from where you placed them ( they have to be 90 degrees from each other ) and then tighten the tensioner rod to hold position - rotate by hand recheck timming - if good loosly fit guide the 2 guide stoppers to l/h side and place 3.5 kg of tension at the middle point of the longest run of timmed belt ( belt should only deflect 10 mm with 3.5 kg of tension )
once tensioned tighten the 2 bolts under the toothed pulleys and tighten loc nut on adjuster
tighten the 2 stopper / guide nuts

in the picture the left hand blade is a l/h thread undo it right and tighten it left

the blade on the right is a normal thread left loose - righty -tighty

cheers hope it helps

Have you tried running it with the blade back on? It may be ok as there is a braking system built into the pto clutch that makes the blades hard to turn by hand. Regards Phil
