Water from atr conditioner leaking in on floor

  • Anonymous Aug 09, 2008

90 Cavalier leaking (clear) water in floor board. Left side front floor carpet and jute is wet. I found that the seal at bottom edge of heater core/AC housing leaking. By the way, heater core is new, as well as hoses/clamps. This may be what caused the leak. Not replacing housing bottom seal.. Any way I am going to silicone it this time. Mainly because the seal is no longer available. I will let yall know if it worked soon. db.

Make sure the drain tube for the box is not clogged in the engine compartment firewall left side the AC condinsor has to bleed off water because of condensation on it from being in use,, otherwise u would have water with anti-freeze from the heater core if it was leaking ! but just water its the AC condinsor, lot of junk gets in the box from the vents and sometimes cases blockage

Honeywell troubleshooting

First.... are you sure it is "water"??? If it is, the likely source is condensation dumping out of your air conditioner system.... which is normal. Also, you need to remember that the air conditioner operates for other reasons than just cooling the passenger compartment in the heat of the summer. In many vehicles, the air conditioner also runs during the operation of your windshield defroster. Therefore, some water dripping on the floor of your garage is normal. BUT, if it's engine anti-freeze (or some other fluid) we're talking about, that's a whole horse of a different color..

Water leak by heater

If it is clear water you should check the floor drain for the air conditioner. It should be near the area where the floor and the firewall meet.

Air conditioner leaks on floor

Sounds like the outside drain is stopped up.
There should be a tube coming out of the firewall near the passenger floor.

Water leaking into passenger and drivers side floor boards?

If it is coolant, your heater core is leaking and will need to be replaced, If it is water, you probably have a plugged drain for your air conditioner evaporator coil.

Floors in the front are wet and the car is starting to smell

Three possibilities--the windshield is leaking water, the heater core is leaking antifreeze (should smell like antifreeze), or the air conditioner evaporator (near the heater core) has a plugged drain tube and the water condensed out of the warm air is running back into the cab. Hope this helps!

My ford focus st170 is leak foamed water under the carpets passengers sides only and boot passenger side only

air conditioner/heater compressor's or evap canister is leaking on the floor. It is very common with the focus. After time that water begins to stink! Try silicone to seal the leaky component which would be above the floor mat.

Water in floor on passenger side

The issue is condensation from your air conditioner not properly draining. This is usually caused by a damaged, or clogged drain hose. The condensation is supposed to drain outside the vehicle by way of a hose on the firewall area.

Water is leaking in the passenger side floor when the ac is on. 2008 tribeca.

This means your air conditioner drain tube is clogged. This will take about a hour shop rate to repair or if you look behind the glovebox you will see it. Thanks
