Question about Samsung Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a wireless network in my home. I just ordered a SAMSUNG UN46D7000LF 46inch TV. The TV is wifi capable. When my TV arrives, can I just turn it on and set it to wireless network and it will find my network automatically or do I need other parts and cables to access the internet on my new TV?

If you have a wireless network, and the TV is wireless, then there will be no need to get extra cables for the TV. I'm sure if you read the book or even look at the menu observantly you will have that beast up and surfing the net in no time flat.

How to stream to my tv.?

You don't stream from your tablet to your TV by plugging your tablet in one of the HDMI ports on the TV. You do it in one of the following ways:

1. You need the following: (a) a wireless home network (b) a TV set that can connect to your home network (it has to either have WiFi built in or allow plugging in a wireless network adapter). (c) your TV and your tablet must have DLNA/UPNP capability.
2.Use Miracast technology. Both your TV and your tablet must be Miracast-enabled.
3. Use Screen Mirroring technology.

Driver for wis12abgnx/xec

Assuming you can get the driver (which comes as a file, i.e. software, not hardware) how would you install it on your TV ?

According to the 'Technical Information' link on the Web page that you can access via the link I attached with my answer, your adapter is compatible with WiFi-ready Samsung TVs and AV equipment produced between 2010 and 2012. If your TV is not a WiFi-ready Samsung TV or is one produced before 2010, well....If it is a Samsung TV produced after 2012, it probably has WiFI built-in, in which case you don't need any wireless LAN adapter, Samsung or otherwise and the TV did not recognize the adapter because the USB port on the TV that you plugged the adapter in is meant to be used for other devices, e.g. flash drives or portable hard drives.

Will not stay connected to home wifi

Open your wifi on the phone and press and hold the wifi network that you want to connect to then click (modify) re-enter the security code for the wifi network again and then connect. If that does not work then the wifi signal is weak and you'll need to get closer to your router.

Another thing is to choose United States for your Wifi Region in the wifi advanced settings menu.
-- uncheck (avoid poor connections)
-- check scanning always available
-- Wifi Region Code (select United States)

I hope that helps will-not-stay-connected-home-wifi-5x01jctu1hti52f1zciidmg3-3-0.png

Can i connect my Sharp flatscreen tv to my wifi

Ron, in order to connect your TV to your home network, it will need an network interface. A network interface can be either a wired network jack on the TV itself, or a built in wireless capability (WiFi). You didn't provide the model number of your particular Sharp TV, so I can't tell you if your TV offers this connectivity or not.

Even if your TV offers wired or wireless connectivity, some TVs only allow network access to update firmware or to display "still" JPEG or GIF images; not to stream audio or video. The TV will need to have some sort of player to display or play video and / or audio files. Even then, if the TV is not fairly new enough, it may lack the support for newer file formats - such as .MKV, MPEG, etc. that are used for a large number of HD content.

You can get around this hurdle by connecting a newer computer to the TV. Purchase a wireless keyboard & mouse and connect the computer's video card to the TV so that it will appear as a monitor to the computer. Make sure your get a video card in the computer that will provide a digital video output - (HDMI, DVI, etc.) and a cable that can plug into one of the unused A/V inputs on the TV. If using a cable other then HDMI, you'll need to provide a cable between the computer's audio output and the TV's audio input. Use the computer's network interface to download or stream a program directly to your 55 inch "monitor".

I hope this helps - good luck!

How to enable wireless network on targa computer

Harry, If you mean to access WiFI, then all you have to do is buy a WiFi dongle. Install it and then insert the dongle into the USB port. and you are on. But, if you want to run a WIFi hot spot on your PC, then you need to install a wireless router so that other devices having a WiFI capability can connect to it. You need to set up a WireLess LAN for which there exists a wizard in Windows.

It may be wireless enabled. Even if it isn't, then you may install wireless NIC (network interface card) that will help to retrieve the wireless signals.
