Nilfisk vacume bearings

Hi There, If you could provide the model number of the machine that would help. However as a general rule if it is the motor bearings you are after then normally you replace the entire motor. If it is the roller brush you are needing bearings for you can get them from any bearing supplies store. If you are looking for any nilfisk parts in Australia then vacuumspot is the go.

My vacum keeps sutting itsself off after a few mins of use. I need to vacum the whole house and dont have tinme for it to cool down every 10 mins

Something is plugged. What you describe sounds like the motors' thermal limiter is opening the circuit to prevent the motor from overheating. You need to open and verify that evey air passageway is clear and the unit has good air flow. I bet you find a blockage, and with one, cleaning ability would be severly diminshed.

My vacum roller brush dosenot work

The most common failure there is the drive belt from the motor to the brushes has failed. Consult your local vacuum store for a replacement. Normally they are fairly easy to change. Check and see if the brush is free wheeling or needs a push to get it to turn. If the belt is broken or worn out the brushes will turn freely.

Self propel feature is not functioning. have to push the vacum cleaner

Remove the bottom plate and look for broken or loose drive belt to the wheels. Check the wheels for being bound-up with thread, hair and other debris. Make sure that the motor for self-propel runs when turned on.

I can't figure out how to change the belt on my hoover bagless Sprint upright. Please help.

1 set up vacume with bottom facing you , making it easy to deal with.
2 remove the 4 screws holding base plate on and carefully remove the base plate, on mine there is a small catch that must be released.
3the belt compartment is on the right, remove the old belt, it's about 1 and 1/4 wide.
4 You have to put the belt on the stainless steel motor spindle first, then work the belt over the plastic drive wheel, and spin it around a few time to ensure it's running on track ok.
5 Replace the base plate , click in the self catching clip last.
6 Replace the four screws and test the vacume.

Take off the bottom plate (where you would access the belt). Put the wheel
back on, put the screw back in the wheel and looking from the underside
of the vacuum you can see the screw. You need a bolt and preferably a
lock washer and that should hold it for you.

User manual required

if you are in the US you need to call 800-437-7170 to get a manual - i'm not sure it will help in enough internal detail to help you get things back together, but the same number is for Kirby technical support and they may talk you through it. If you want to try online then; http://www.kirby.com/CustomerService/ContactUs/tabid/73/Default.aspx if they don't, then please take a good selection of photos of what you have, and post them back here or try and call on a live chat and we can see what we can do to help. Hope this helps you out :)
