SOURCE: honda powered gx160 model pressure washer wont start

Buy a new plug, drain out all of the old gas and put in new gas, and take a look at the air cleaner. If the air cleaner is dirty replace it. There you now have a good spark, good fuel and good air. The engine should start. If it doesn't get some carberator cleaner spray and some starting fluid spray.

SOURCE: Honda Pressure Washer HP 5 not starting

You can try spraying some carburetor cleaner into the carb. If it starts for a minute, your carburetor need cleaning. When you added new gas did you remove the old gas first? Is the air filter clean?

Hi It sounds to me like your unloader valve is stuck, this is the thing that is meant to move up and down when pressing the trigger. Please remove the unloader valve assembly and check for damage. If no damage is found then grease and lubricate this part and replace and this should work ok again.

Spark Plug Gap - Troy-Bilt

No power to the spark plug

Take the spark plug and connect the plug wire to top like it is supposed to be. With plug out of machine rest base of plug against metal of head (anywhere on motor near plug hole) and try pulling fast and look at gap in plug for spark. You have to make sure base is getting good ground to motor but if system working you should see a spark. If not you need to first check for small black wires that come from coil and go to throttle linkage point, or other "kill" switch to make sure the wire did not come off and is touching something. Some machines have a few ways to kill motor with the small wires (like a dead man switch on mower) that need to be checked for possible issue. If the kill systems seem to be working then coil is probably gone. To change coil you have to take engine covers off and pull flywheel to get at coil. You need a wheel puller to take flywheel off. If you have the tools it is not hard but if no tools it is tough.

Want is the spark plug gap on a Honda GC160 - 5.0 model # wp2003omhb

usually honda uses 0.024in spark plug gap, if you are using new plugs they specifically say that they do not require being gaped, if you are maintaining old plugs use 0.024in as the Honda standard.

Pump will not unload.

Hi if it stop when the trigger is pulled the issue is with the motor.
stopping is caused by , low revs on motor or low compression or poor spark, sometimes faulty carby.
change spark plug , adjust valve ( when valve has some slight side movment it is ok if up and down , it should be tighter (valves usually under side cover near top ) increase revs a little ( make sure revs dont get rough when running high) set max revs to when the engine still runs smoothly at max.
