Question about HEWLETT-PACKARD Hewlett Packard Pavilion p6610f (BM417AAABA) PC Desktop

1 Answer

Hi, I purchased p6610f a couple months ago. I did not have problem using internet as long as I used the ethernet code. but now that I change the location of desk where code does not reach, so I am start using integrated wireless that comes with this computer. The problem is even though I have great modem and router (motorora Doscis 3.0 & d-link N+ 300 Dir-655), it barely gets 6.5 mps and occationally drop the signal. Modem and router is only 15 feet away from computer and there is no obstacle. Do you think is this integrated wireless card defected, or do I have to upgarde the wireless card? Any suggestions?

We purchased the Intellinet 150N-4 Port Router a couple of months ago. It was working fine up until last Saturday afternoon. I called our IP and they re set our modem and we still couldn't get...

The router comes with a lifetime warranty however Intellinet does not offer phone support but rather a ticket submission system on their website. It also refers you back to the reseller to get technical assistance. Normally you can get free technical assistance from all 3 parties the manufacturer, Internet Provider, and the Re-seller. You may just want to return the item if you still can. Quite a few other brands offer free technical assistance Netgear, Linksys, D-Link, etc... Seems more like the device is the issue here. If you can exchange and get a new router, I'd be happy to walk you through setting up your new router as well.

I am asuming you are using Windows Mail or Outlook, and my first guess would be to check with the email address provider if they made any changes to the account setup. If nothing is changed there, you might want to check with your Internet provider if they made any changes.

I would install the 'Windows Live Messenger' and use hotmail or another service linked to it. That's what I do.

I also would use a 'gadget' that has the weather on it which you can change the zip code on to get your local weather.

I wish you luck...:)

I bought a bb storm 9550 off ebay which has vodafone on it i tried to get it unloked for t-mobile but it may be blocked - what can i do

Hello,

It looks like the telephone is SIM locked.

If you go to Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card and type MEPD.

This will bring up another screen. If the Network option shows "Disabled" then it is unlocked.

If its locked go back to the seller or buy an unlock code online.

Hope it helped.
