Blank screen wont turn on or off

Make sure player is fully charged. Connect the player to the PC. Make sure the computer detects the player.
NOTE: You may need to switch the player to MSC mode, then connect it to the PC.
Leave the player connected for approximately 2 hours to charge. Disconnect the player from the PC. Verify if you can turn on the player. Reset the player if necessary. Then you may need to reset the player. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds. Release the Power switch. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release right away.

Frozen on USB Screen

no, I don't think it will delete all your data... I have one like that... and it never deleted any files when I reset it... But hopefully, it will work since this happens to me too... just not in the USB thing. Reset, check the device, ok? then you're ready to go!

The screen is frozen and wont turn off or do anything

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

THEN, do the "Repair" in the Philips Device Manager
