After a cycle finished, my glasses and cups have a fine sand residue inside, what can cause the problem

Is there any chance in the world you are on a well, instead of city water?
That happened to me because we are on a well.
If so, you'll need a filter or a filter replacement.
(Tiny chance it is from "fracking", the pollution of city water supply in some parts of the United States due to oil and gas well drilling.)
Be blessed.

This is a something i see all the time always use the better dishwasher soap it cost a little more but in the long run it works better, also use less soap then what they say to use , so it will cost you less !

I have a lot of limescale that comes out through the hose in clumps how can i stop this?

for that much limescale the only solution will need to be a whole house water softener. After it is installed you will still have residue in the pipes. But for a temporary solution: turn off the water supply to the hot water tank both in and out of it. Then drain the tank. This should flush out some of the debris.

I have a diplomat dishwasher which has begun to not clean properly and also leaves a white residue on everything

you have limescale build up on your jets. Run it a few times empty, put about 3 cups of vinegar in the dishwasher before you start the cycle. Also, run it on it's hottest temp too. It will stink up your house like vinegar, but it worked on mine. This also works in coffee pots!!

My dishwasher leaves a cloudy residue on my dishes

The cloudy residue that is left on your dishes is soap that has not completly broken down.

There are a few solutions to the problem. First off, you want to ensure that you are using the "high temp wash" option. This will boost your water temp during the wash cycle to ensure that all the soap breaks down.

The second thing that you want to do to give your dishwasher a boost, is run the hot water in the sink and make sure it's pipping hot before you start your dishwasher. What this will do is ensure that the water that goes in for the "pre wash" portion of the wash is hot and will improve the wash quality.

Good luck!

Hotpoint Auqarius dishwasher. I have resentley moved house and reconnected the machine. it works through programme fine but is sometimes leaving dishes gritty and not quite clean. I have cleaned filters,...

It sounds like there could be a gritty deposit in the bottom of the system. At the start of the cycle the unit takes in a set amount of water and recycles it around to the drying phase.

Try and run the diswasher a few times with no items in it - this will may help to flush it out.

If the gritty deposit coloured white this could be that your new home has more limescale in its supply. Try getting dishwasher tablets with limescale protection to see if that helps.

Finally, please ensure the spray arms free to rotate on each cycle. Failure to do this leaves grit on certain items and not others.

Please dont forget to rate.

Frigidaire FDB635RBB heat wash/heat rinse

Most DW today take a minimum of 90 minutes. Run the hot water from the sink until it gets hot, then start the DW, this will shorted the first wash cycle. It is not uncommon for the DW to run 2hrs or more based upon the water temperature entering the DW and the soil level of the items in the DW.
