If this is a gas furnace and you have a cooling coil on top then you could have a dirty coil. Also a dirty air filter can do this. I have also found dirty blower wheels. The gas furnaces have a high limit to prevent the heat exchanger from over heating. Another possibility is always a possibillity; however, 99% of the time I find an air flow issue.

How do I fix my Trane air handler to keep it from turning off about 20 seconds after being commanded to turn on?

Some units require both a start and a run capacitor. It's possible the wrong capacitor was replaced. It's also possible to add a run capacitor to a system to keep the fan running. There is an outside chance the bearings in the fan motor are worn to the point it's time to replace the motor.

Use the key fob to open the rear doors by pressing the unlock function twice. If you need reprogramming instructions, use the following:

  1. Turn the ignition from OFF to RUN 4 times within 6 seconds.
  2. Turn the ignition OFF. The system will chime to confirm programming mode.
  3. Within 20 seconds, press any button on first keyless remote. The system will chime once to confirm programming.
  4. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. System will chime once to confirm programming.

Heat pumps require specific heat pump thermostat. If you are trying to install a thermostat that is generic forget it. A heat pump is a diff animal than a central unit. Get the thermostat that matches your system. A generic won't cut it.

Central haeting keeps turning on when itself

Change your air filter, if the system has to work too hard, it will over heat. If the filter is allowing air flow and the system still shuts off it is the thermostat. Keep in mind the Thermostat gauges the temperature where the thermostat is located, if its next to a running fireplace it will think your entire house is that temp.

Vaillant turbomax 28 constant hot water problem.

got your fix, its a calcium buildup in the heat exchanger, and more than likely the rest of the unit, you will need to flush the unit with about 4 gallons of vinegar, you will need to recirculate it for about 20 mins through the unit, then flush with clean water, hook it back up, it might take a couple of mins for it to run properly, but it will, I have had the same problem with Rinnai on demand hot water systems, and it worked like a charm, check the filter thats inline as well, make sure it isnt plugged, clean if needed, also if you dont have a soft water system inplace, you might want to think about buying one and having it installed, that will reduce this from happening again for alot longer period of time, hope that helps
