I stuck in a generic 1GB SD card and it works. 2GB SD does not. I reformatted the card and it still dont work. 4GB probly wont either. Other formats over 1GB probly wont either. I suggest sticking in camera and connecting that to PC, or card reader, as suggested above. This is same for Mac or PC. If there's a firmware fix, I'd like to know where.

Hello,

If you have verified that the SD Card works in another device. You can refer to the information below:

Here is a link to the manual and some troubleshooting information.

It only supports these memory cards, it does not support the 2GB. The link from above was very helpful!! http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/4300/winug/en/frameset.html

That particularly model doesn't recognise SD cards that large, if I recall the max is 256MB but it might be 512MB, nothing larger though. It's pretty rubbish and a serious limitation when bigger cards are so cheap these days, if your camera supports Picbridge I suggest that would be the best alternative, other than that, do it through a computer.

Printer will not recognise camera memory card hp p315 photo printer

Was your Lexmark P315 printer able to detect this particular memory card before? Try to re-insert the card - it could be due to a slight communication problem. Have you tried inserting a different known working compatible memory card into the printer's card slot? This could be due to faulty memory card.

Will not accept 2gb sd cards

Unfortunately this might be a limitation with the printer.

There are many devices which cannot continue to take large capacity cards.

You should call Lexmark and find out the limit for this printer.

Usually there would be a driver update for the printer to handle newer cards. But Lexmark does not have any driver upgrades available on website for P315.

Not much joy I suppose (other than upgrading printer which is what they would want people to do).

Printer wont read SD cards does read sony memory

If it does not seat (fit) properly, why say the printer will not read SD cards? It certainly will read SD cards that are supported. You can still upload to computer and print from there as you suggested.

Memory card problem

I got online with Lemark chat and they said this printer model will only read up to 256MB SD cards...what a bummer. That really shows very little foresight on their part! Or just another way to force you to upgrade another pice of hardware!
