Any GPS no matter the make or model calibrates itself from 4 satellites in high Earth orbit, it computes your speed and location on the earths surface this way, so every time you turn on the GPS and it shows a signal lock it is calibrated, the calculation is EXTREMELY ACCURATE ((+) or (-) 2 kph). Sorry but if it shows that was the speed then that was correct.

I have a 1992 chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 while driving it shifts in and out of overdrive

Not sure if this will help but my 92 Lesaber kept down shifting out of over drive when ever I went up a slight hill or when I stepped on the gas even a little bit. One mechanic said I had transmission trouble and I went to another mechanic for a second opinion. my second man said why don't you try something before you get into the tranny.
We changed the spark plugs and installed a new set of spark plug wires. Not only did it stop down shifting all the time my gas milage was a lot better. He said under work load the plugs were mis firing causing lack of power and down shifting.
Good luck.

2010 Nissan Pathfinder Cruise Control issues

First I'll assume you haven't read the owners Manuel, Cruise control is not perfect on any vehicle. if coming to a hill put foot on gas to help rpm, going down hill put foot on brake to keep same speed, cruise control operates off of engine vacuum. Speed sensors can be affected by putting on smaller or bigger tires than what is on drivers door.

My 5.2 Grand Cher. will not accelerate above 2k rpm and will lose speed on hills. Even with foot down to floor at 15mph it has slight surge and starts to bog

the most common problem is the air mass metor this controls the air intake which sends a message to your ecu if it sends the wrong message your car will go into limp mode
