Question about Canon MultiPASS MP390 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Was printing fine. I turned printer off and then turned it on again a little later and it was making a sound like a playing card in a bicycle spoke and the alarm light was on. Would not let me shut it down. Had to unplug it.

Sounds like debris in your cooling fan. Try vacuuming the open grills and see if the click goes away. This is usually caused by something sucked into the fan and clicking, like clothespinning playing cards to your bicycle spokes to make a motor sound as a kid. Since the fan is the only moving part in a laptop this is with 99% certainty the problem and the only way to fix it is to remove the offending debris.

My oki C5150 is making a clicking noise in the front like the sound of a playing card in a tire spoke when riding a bike. ( i used to do this when I was a kid )

I had this problem with my C5100. In addition to the noise, it would not print. It turned out that it was the black drum and I replaced it. The noise went away and I could print. I have since found out that there is an internal counter that disables the drum after it gets to a preset number of copies. I searched for and found instructions on how to reset the drum counter in advance of it "self-destructing". It may be too late to do this after it starts clicking, but it can be used in the future.

My dishwasher makes a noise when it is in the wash cycle that sounds like playing cards on bicycle spokes. What can it be?

HI. this is the result of a broken wash impeller. it is connected to the actual circulating motor. you will need to replace this vital part asap. this will fix this issue.

Fisher and Paykel clicking sound

it sounds like the bearings are going out as it spins faster the noise quietens down because the bearings are more spread out and as it slows they fall lower leaving an area that it causing "friction" of a kind

It would depend on where the noise is coming from. A broken front hub lock can make that type of noise if the sound is coming from the front left or right side. If the sound is coming form the center of the truck I would suspect the drive chain in the transfer case is loose and hitting the inside of the case.

With the little bit of information you have given I would assume you have something stuck in one of the baffels ,((or possibly the most common is a Bra wire in one of the drum seals on the drum))

or a more in depth problem would be something in blower wheel (like the old playing card in the spoke of a bicycle)) when we where much younger.
