May have something stuck between the inner and outer drum...... socks tights and womens skimpies very easily slip down at the bottem door seal.... afraid the machine needs a total strip down if this is the case. remove the door and front panels, the drum has a front cover held on by a number of clips..... remove all clips take cover off....find said item and put back together shouldnt take more than an hour.. if it isnt that,.then rear bearing could be shot at,, sorry

Hi Gary,

Since you are able to turn the drum with the belt, I am assuming that you have removed the cabinet of the dryer.

Look for worn bearings and support wheels for the drum. Also have a look at the idler / tension wheel as well.

The drum should not be moving around as it is sitting on the rollers. The belt should maintain enough tension to keep it from doing so. If it is able to be moved, there may not be adequate tension from the idler wheel.

Ge dryer started making a loud rubbing sound

Sounds Like the drum is scraping. You can remove the drum and inspect the felt bearing/gasket for damage or a coin or screw that got lodged in it. You will need to remove Top and front in order to remove drum Carefully note the routing of the belt near the moter.

Hi,we have aBeko WMA 1512 Eco case washing machine,it is coming up for 2yrs old. It will take on water and the control switche moves as required to empty, but drum does not move,it's like it goes through...

I suggest the next step is to check the motor brushes. Take belt off and undo bolt at right hand side of motor .Allow motor to pivot down and then pull to remove. Brushes are located at back of motor in plastic housings. If worn down to housing they will need replacing. Any problems dont hesitate to ask.

Place it on the motor pulley and then guide it around the drum pulley. It will have come off for a reason which if you do not correct will cause it to come off again. Lay it flat on a table - if it does not lay flat - replace it. Check the pulley on the drum does not move from side to side. (problem with pulley or drum bearings)

Vibration problems

it could be a number of problems which are very common on the entire wma range.
1, drum bearings are really poor in these.
2, concrete block tapping, sometimes the bracket n the drums snap.
3, motor bracket snapped causing tapping.

i've found the plastic drums seem to be quite weak on the wma range to be honest so will more than likely be one of the above.

hope this helps
