My Panasonic stereo system sa-ak17 will not come out of cd mode

I there are two possibilities. One is that the device uses a soft touch control pad that has snapped off and therefore when you press the control it fails to make contact. If it is that it can sometimes be cured by taking off the control face plate and melting the plastic back on with a soldering iron.
The other possible explanation is that the control IC has failed and needs to be replaced.

The SA-AK17 is a component of the SC-AK17 system. You may download a copy of the SC-AK17 manual at http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SCAK27.PDF

Missing power cord

Normally it uses a standard power cord. Even an extra PC power cord will do the job.

Sa-ak17 displays f 61

First, stop feeding it fuses until you determine the cause. Every time you blow a fuse you're stressing something in line with it.

We'd need some specific details about the sub and how it is being driven to even begin to answer the question.

My guess is you did something with the sub that is NOT recommended by the manufacturer. Shelf systems are generally not designed to be mix-n-match with other speaker components.

The F61 means "Check and correct the speaker cord connections. If this does not fix the problem, there is a power supply problem. Consult the dealer".

A blown fuse IS a power supply problem. You might look for a hands-on tech to give it a sniff and a look for whatever got cooked.

Can't get ipod to play on Panasonic SA HT-940 System

I have a panasonic home theatre and my ipod connects in the front of the system. The cable is basically a headphone cable with the same JACK at either end. In short the system is the headphone but you don't put it in your ears!!. You can pick these cables up from virtually any electrical retailer for less than the price of a pint!

Where can you get whole unit for $49? If you answer I could research the power requirements. If I recall correctly it has a slightly odd power connector.

On the other hand would you be willing to sell yours? We have a dead remote :-(
