Now please bear with me. From what I can tell on their site and assuming that they use the same power cables for all their equipment (which would be the most efficient thing to do) they use a non standard 3 prong plug. You should be able to see one here http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Adapter-Supply-Laptop-Charger/dp/tags-on-product/B002WQ8WO6 and tell for yourself (seeing as you have the equipment). Best of luck.

My GT5250-1 generator quit producing electricity ,I have replaced the capacitor and the circuit breakers and still does not work. Do you have any further advice?

start it up. plug in a corded power drill and spin the drills chuck by hand while holding the trigger on. if the drill runs that means the genset lost its flash. and if that works you just reflashed it. this usually works in a lot of cases. if not maybe you need new brushes. good luck

Need anew chuck for a black & decker BD155RT Quattro 550w drill and advice on how to change it

Remove the left hand screw from inside the chuck and then insert the chuck key onto the chuck, place the machine on a suitable work surface and give it a wack so that the chuck will unscrew off the drill anti clockwise.

How to fix the bit

If your Makita matches the one on the picture, you will need a chuck key to attach a drill bit or tool to the machine's chuck. The chuck key inserts to any of the small holes in the front part of the chuck and at the same time its teeth interlocks with the teeth of the chuck. When turning the chuck key you will widen or loosen the grip of the three jaw pieces, that clamps to your tool or bit. Tighten the chuck key by hand until the chuck grips the bit securely. For safety, unplug the power cord whenever operating the chuck key on the chuck.

How do you remove the chuck from a Craftsman Model #315.11441 3/8 vsr corded drill? Am trying to remove the chuck but I believe there is some type of a set screw or locking mechanism that needs to be undone. I can see a slotted screw head in the chuck Looking straight down on it but it is very tight and I don't want to break it or a screwdriver forcing it. Thanks for input. Bob

On a model 315.101231 3/8 corded drill I need to remove the keyless chuck how do I do that?

If you open the chuck as far as it will go and look inside you may see the head of a screw, especially if the drill is reversible. So undo the screw and then you should be able to unscrew the chuck. But I am not sure if it will be easy to unscrew. With a keyed chuck you use the key and a hammer to unscrew the chuck.

Low output from NorthStar 5500PPG

There are a few scenarios that can cause this.

1) The extension cord that you are using is too long / too light of a guage. Try a heavier extension cord, or plug directly into the generator.

2) The alternator has lost its "residual magnetism" and may need to be reflashed. Consult Northstar for instructions and details.

3) The voltage regulator (actually a simple capacitor) may be "weak"

4) The diode for field winding may be bad.

You can get a copy of your manual here, page 40 has diagram and part numbers.
