Hi there,

My name is Mike. A couple times a day I go looking around to give some pointers to our clients (you). I do this so that your problem will be routed to an expert with a background in solving problems similar to your own.

With that in mind, look at it your question from our point of view.

Although the greeting is nice, we need a little more info.

More is better:

To get to the right person, you will need to post your problem again with the Make and Model of the product. The category is important too. Try and find the make and model there also.

For future reference,
Describe your problem clearly, concisely and with as much detail as possible. Include recent events, is it new, used, has it ever worked, do people mess with it, etc. Anything that will help describe the problem.

Often, a problem can be the result of a seemingly unrelated event. It is always a good idea to include a recent history.

Additional information such as what steps have already been taken, has the product ever worked, is it new, etc. can have a bearing on providing the best solution for your particular circumstances.

Remember, you are a key participant in this process. We are not there, you are. We depend on you to be our eyes and ears. We can only respond to what you provide us. Without you, all our talent is worthless. How's that for an ego build?

What you get out of the experience depends on what you put in to it. So help us help you.

It would be also be advantageous in your case to repost your problem so that it is correctly categorized and starts over at the top of the queue. This way it can be directed to someone with expertise in the area you need.

Best regards

Mike

Can get analog stations recorded but not hi defination

Hi, unless the VCR/dvd recorder is hi def then you won't be able to.

Hdmi connection is hi-def, I think you can have a hi-def signal through composite, but it's your recorder thats the problem, it cannot read the number of line a hi-def signal has.

I have just found this.

Cannot set "HI" Mode to shoot TIFF Images

In order to shoot "HI" TIFF images first set the Image Size option to either "5M 2592x1944" or "3:2 2592x1728." Next, choose "HI" as the Image Quality option. "HI" is only available in one of the manual exposure modes (P, S, A or M) and is not available in the "Auto" shooting mode. If "HI" is selected and the camera is switched to "Auto" the Image Quality will automatically switch to "FINE" mode and a JPEG image will be recorded. Additionally, "HI" is only available in "S" Single frame Continuous shooting.
