I do not think that is the problem.
The fault is with the thermostat.
A new thermostat will fix the problem
A technician can help you with that

How can I reset digital temp. on freezer outside door correctly?

Usually changing temps will not cause a fridge to stop cooling. But, most fridges have a showroom mode and I suspect it was accidental entered. Look on user interface for on/off and then press and hold. Good luck!

Freezer is warming- up to 24 degrees now. something is running- should i unplug the freezer to keep the defrost fan from coming on until repairs can be made?

the fan is not a defrost fan? it helps to circulate the cold air into fridge and freezer. so when the fridge goes into defrost mode the fan and compressor stop running. if ur getting constant warm or heat? I suspect ur defrost timer is not coming out of defrost cycle? the heat is only suppose to last up to 20-30 minutes then back into cold mode? hers a trick u can use that may get u back into cold mode, locate the defrost timer in ur fridge usually at top center. then under the timer u will see a tiny slot or hole. if u stick a small screw driver into that hole and turn slowly clockwise till u hear it click? if its stuck in defrost , it will now come out of defrost and u should hear the fan and the compressor come on, hope this helps let me knoiw if u have any more questions

when the fridge goes into defrost mode the fan and compressor stop running. if ur getting constant freeze in the freezer? I suspect ur defrost terminator is bad and is not going into defrost cycle? and this will stop the fan from circulating the cold air. the heat is only suppose to last up to 20-30 minutes then back into defrost mode? if the defrost timer is bad heres a trick u can use that may get u back into defrost mode, locate the defrost timer in ur fridge usually at top center. then under the timer u will see a tiny slot or hole. if u stick a small screw driver into that hole and turn slowly clockwise till u hear it click? i, it will now go into defrost and u should hear the fan and the compressor go off , hope this helps let me knoiw if u have any more questions, lastly I suspect its not ur timer but ur defrost terminator> meaning is will not allow it to go into heat defrost. its easy and relatively inexpensive.

We have a Kenmore Elite Freezer Model #253.29082994. We had the freezer plugged in and it was working fine. We unplugged it and moved it and now when we plug it in it won't start. Is there some kind of...

You refrigerator was made by Frigidaire Adaptive Defrost Controls Frigidaire Refrigerator Trouble Shooting and Diagnosing
On the initial plugin, or when power is restored to the fridge after a power outage:
If terminating thermostat is open, the fridge enters a compressor (cooling) cycle.
If the terminating thermostat is closed, the first defrost cycle occurs 1 hour
after initial plug-in.
Maximum defrost cycle time is 24 minutes.
Minimum time between defrost cycles is 6 hours. (compressor runtime)
Maximum normal clock time between defrost cycles is 12 hours.
Maximum time between defrost cycles (in "vacation" mode) is 72 hours.
Vacation mode is not entered unless the door has not been opened in at least 24 hours.
Note that the ADC will only enter the defrost mode if the terminating thermostat is closed. If the terminating thermostat is open when defrost is initiated, the ADC board will wait for six minutes and then return to the cooling mode.
ASSUMING that the fridge has been on and running,
and the terminating thermostat is closed,
defrost is initiated by pressing the door (light) switch
at least five times within six seconds.
The defrost heater should start heating up within 8 seconds.
If the above procedure caused the heater to heat up, the ADC board is probably bad; replace it.
If the defrost heater does not heat up, test the defrost heater, terminating thermostat and cold control for continuity as follows:
Unplug the fridge from the wall. Unplug the ADC board from its connector.
Test the connector for continuity between the following leads:
Defrost Heater = DEF TERM (blue) to DEF OUT (brown).
Terminating Thermostat = DEF TERM (blue) to NEUTRAL (lt blue).
Cold Control = COLD CONTROL (orange) to L1 (black).
Replace the defective component.

Sharp SJ-F80SP-BK 4 Door refrigerator doesn't cool, freezer (bottom) working fine

When the freezer section gets cold and reaches its required cooling temperature, after that the frost on freezer section starts defrosting and the cooling fan in the freezer section blows this cool air from freezer to fridge. But if the defrost cycle does not start then over ice will get collected on freezer ventilations and that will block the air passing section from freezer to fridge, so the freezer gets cool but fridge section does not cool. Its defrost problem. Try manual defrost by unplugging the refrigerator from main power outlet for 4 hours then reconnect it and check, if the same problem is noticed again,. If yes then its defrost board problem. The defrost board located in the back of fridge section. You can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com or from online sears part site. ------------- Thank you.

Constant Defrost causing water accumulation problems

Yes! look under you fridge for the consendate drain hose *(usually dangling right over the catch tray) and using a long piece of slightly heavy guage wire snake up the drain hose and see if it's blocked.

If it isn't blocked you might have a crack somewhere in the fridges interior near the fridge/freezer interface. That might be a bit harder to spot since it would most likely be under cover.

Good luck and be careful.

THE FRIDGE FREEZER CONSTANTLY MAKES A GROANING SOUND AND NOW EVEN THOUGH ITS FROST FREE THERE IS FROST STARTING TO APPEAR ON THE BACK WALL OF THE FRIDGE

You could have one of two problems- 1) The defrost timer has failed OR 2) the defrost heater has failed.

Switch off fridge, open back panel check continuity of defrost heater. If it checks out OK you need to replace the defrost timer.
