The phone number for parts is listed below, however it has been my experience that Harbor Freight does not stock many parts. If you can't find parts at HF, find a local professional fastener store that deals in air nailers and ask them to match-up a seal (get close). These seals are common to nailers and most framers have a similar size cylinder. If you like to tinker ~ I have found seals that are a bit larger but you can fill the gap with RTV. If a bit small, heat gun will make it stretch a bit. I am a heavy duty tinker-er with a small lathe. I have made these seals by taking a roller blade wheel (from thrift store, used set of roller blades cost about $5 nets 10 wheels) and turn out a high quality seal. The first seal that I constructed was made using a piece of dental Mouthguard material. Mouthguard material comes in different thickness. I used 1/8" thick material. I cut out a circular piece of material that extended past the diameter of the cylinder about 1/2" (if cylinder is 2 inch dia. then disc is about 3 inch dia.) Mouthguard material (or similar) can be shaped by using a heat gun. Remove cylinder and place in vice or stable place. Place disc of material centered on top of cyl and apply hot air until it softens and shape material down to form seal (use headvalve to shape top of seal by pressing valve on top of seal while still hot, spray silicone on any tools to prevent them from sticking to the hot material). Allow material to cool then cut out center with hot exacto knife. Your new seal can be removed then re-installed on the cylinder using RTV sealant. Good luck

I tried to order a cylinder seal from Harbor Freight and they told me sorry that the 40463 nail gun had been discontinued. However, I borrowed a Stanley-Bostitch N80SB fom a neighbor to finish the job and determned that the HF gun was a copy of it. The seal part number from them is N70155 @ $3.25 each, and it works just fine. I wouldn't doubt it if all other parts would too.

DeWalt D51822 Framing Nailer: Replaced the trigger valve and air is still coming from the nose of the gun. I would think no air should get past the trigger valve until pressed. What's wrong?

Dewalt framing nailers use some vinyl orings (gold or clear in color) that fail too soon in both the trigger and the cylinder spacer. Air out the nose of gun indicates air is leaking past the cylinder spacer seals (If piston is pushed down with air leak then headvalve seal is leaking (remove nails for this test)). If piston is not pushed down with leak, remove head and pull out the cylinder with cylinder spacer (white plastic). Place the cylinder on workbench with bottom up. Push down on locking ring and remove retainer to release all the other parts. Take picture or take note of parts together and as you pull them off to aid in re-assembly. You will need to replace the two orings between the white cylinder spacer and the cylinder. Order oring kit from dewalt or just purchase one ( # 141 universal oring ) and one metric oring 74.4mm x 3.1mm from hydraulic parts store. If the piston was pushed down with air leak, replace headvalve orings in the head. Good luck with your repair

I have a Central Pneumatic air nailer that has the seal crumbling. Seems to be a problem. Where can I get the kit to repair it? Thanks

You can call Harbor Freight and see if they have the repair kit available. 1-800-444-3353. Sometimes they change the models and will not have parts available. It may take up to 6 weeks for you to get your parts if they are available. Be prepared to wait. The parts will not be expensive. Depending on which seal you are talking about, you may have to order an assembly. I am directly talking about the trigger seal. This part seems to crumble the most. If you require more information please post additional information about your model and the seals you are requiring.
