We are wanting to change our SYSTEM speed dial numbers. We just followed these directions but the phone merely stores the number to the designated button- it won't dial it when pressed. Any more advice?...

While my personal phone is a 7020, our actual system phone that is connected to the main line is a 7030. I'm sorry- I should've checked on that earlier. Does that mean the auto dial reprogramming instructions will be very different from the 7020?

Also, our phone system is KXTA624.

This was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Worked like a charm! You definitely saved us a lot of time and money! THANK YOU!!

Here's a guess. Is the 7020 the one with 16 buttons? If so, they are marked CO 1-12 and F1-4. You program them by putting the phone in PROG from the switch on the back of the phone, then press the button and 1. If it's a F button, dial 9 + number and STORE. If it's a CO button dial 29 + number and STORE.

If you're talking SYSTEM speed dial numbers, those are done from the display phone at jack 01 and putting the system in programming.

Oh yeah, the reason the answer is so vague is that the 7020 phone is forward and backward compatible with all Panasonic KSU's from the 30810/61610/123210/11, to the TDA-50G. The old xxx10's have a program switch on the cabinet and, some have 2 digit extensions.

We are trying to reprogram our system speed dial numbers. When we tried the above directions, the number was stored to the designated button but when it's pressed, the number only shows up on the display- it doesn't actually dial it. Any more advice?... Thank you, by the way!!

I didn't think the answer was sublte. WHAT SYSTEM DO YOU HAVE? The other thing is what happens when you dial "9" on the intercom. A 7020 is not a display phone, so you asked in 7020 and you tell me it displays but doesn't dial. That means either you don't have a line in your highest line position which is a programming issue, or you didn't follow the instructions, because the "9" is a line access code. You do have to do this from either the intercom or a line in the lower systems as it won't select an outside line by pressing the speed dial button.

Post back with your system model and maybe we can get a manual.

    Start with a manual.
All Panasonic systems program system speed dial numbers from Program 001. Your actual instructions are on pdf page 225, but I'd read the pages in front of it to see how to get into programming and the notes.

All phones ring with intercom button flashing after a storm. I cannot get the ringing to stop. Help!

Panasonic systems are pretty forgiving, so power cycle the Key Service Unit. It will either work or not. If it works, you may have to reprogram the system, if it doesn't, it's probalby fried.

The TA-824 is the current analog system. It has a street price of about $250.

No dial tone at all on a PanasonicKX - T7020 phone.Other phones in the system work fine.

Did you swap it with another phone? The 7020 requires a 4-pin base cord and a port on the phone system. The sound comes from the inner pair of the cable, the data (lights on the set) from the second pair. You could have a bad cable, bad wiring, bad handset, handset cord, or bad base on the phone. Since your system has to have more than one phone (like a display phone somewhere), try swapping or moving the phone to a different jack.

Can you get a replacement battery for panasonic kx-t7020

No. There is no battery in a 7020. There is a battery in the KXT-xxx10 system and those are available most anywhere (3.6 volts Nicad IIRC). The newer systems don't have batteries.

How do I program a speed dial out side number on the buttons to the right?

What happens when you dial "9" on the intercom? If that gets you an outside line, then press PROGRAM, one of the buttons, and dial 9 plus your number and STORE.

Hmmm...Speed dial :-)

If you get a vacant line at "9", then you need to reprogram your 400 line access on your phone sytem to disable the vacant lines.

KX-T7730 phone. Need to reprogram one of the PF buttons as a CO2 button. I accidently messed up the programming of this button while trying to program a different PF button as a one-touch dialing...

Just so we're on the same page, the PF buttons are the 12 buttons on the right and their ONLY function is one-touch dialing. They can't be CO buttons. The 12 buttons on the left are called CO buttons and they can be programmed to do a number of things, including CO, DSS, and feature access buttons.

To reprogram the button, press PROGRAM, the button, the dial 0 + the CO number (1-8) and STORE. Extensions are 1+ext and one-touch are 2+. Other features are in the programming guide.

The PF buttons are programmed by just dialing the digits, but if it calls out, you must dial an access code first, usually "9".

Hello, i hope you[re doing great.  I had a problem with the auto dial button and a solution was to change from program to set.... in the rear part of the phone, where the phone cable plugs in, there is a little switch. Try changing its position, hope this works for you too...
