Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

It's been my experience with these machines that envelopes are always fed through the manual feed tray.

The Tray 2 cassette's pick up assembly is different than the manual feed,
it has 2 rollers that have a wide area they can pick up while the manual feed has just 1 single roller.
If you remove the tray cassette and look under the printer you can see the two rollers, these would probably have a hard time picking up a standard size envelope.
Also the tray would have to path the paper up and would have to bend it through the paper path which can cause problems with the flaps on the envelopes.

Best method is to use the manual feed tray and to also have the back cover open so that the envelopes path straight through the printer without being curled.

(I've seen these in a ton of places ranging from small business to banks and they always have the envelopes in the manual feed)

Hi,

Try the link below, it's to a on-line user's guide for your printer. To the left you should see a list of subjects, just click the one that says "Load Paper" then click on "load envelopes".

Open the door on the back above the power cord. Rotate both blue levers all the way up so they change from "1" to "2". Wrinkle problem will be solved. This was in the troubleshooting section of the online user manual, page 95. You would think they would tell you about this in the envelope section of the manual.

Printing an envelope in cs3 on an epson stylus photo r1800

You can try using Microsoft word in printing on envelopes, it is easier. On my MS word>tools>letters and mailings>envelopes and labels>click on feed and use the fourth from the left option.
Load the envelope at the right side of the printer> the envelope flap should be on the left facing the printer.

Paper / Envelope feed

Envelopes Follow the steps below to load envelopes into this product. Lower the output tray and slide out the extension. Move the feeder guard towards you. While holding down its locking tab, slide the left edge guide so that the distance between the two edge guides is slightly wider than the width of your envelopes. Load envelopes short edge first with the flap side down, as shown in the illustration. Use the line on the feeder guard as the indicator when loading envelope. The right edge of envelope is aligned with the line on the feeder guard. Set the feeder guard back. Note: * The folding quality and thickness of envelopes vary widely. If the total thickness of the stack of envelopes exceeds 10 mm, press each envelope in the stack flat before loading. If print quality declines when a stack of envelopes is loaded, load one envelope at a time. * Do not use envelopes that are curled or folded. * Flatten the envelope flaps before loading. * Avoid using envelopes that are too thin as they may curl during printing.
