Question about Dell Dimension 5100 (D51L1) PC Desktop
If the eject button isn't working, there is a hole on the front of the the drive where you can stick a paperclip to force it to open.First, listen to make sure it isn't spinning, then straighten a paper clip and push into the tiny hole.

Press the eject button, or open My Computer, find the drive in your listing, right-click it and click eject.

It's very annoying they don't tell you how to do this. I looked here for the solution, then found it myself.
You have to depress the blue Fn key and simultaneously depress F10. Notice that that key has a blue "eject" symbol on it.

Eject button should be on the drive on the side. You can also go into my computer and right click the drive and select eject. If neither works the drive must be broken but you can use a paperclip. There will be a tiny hole to insert the paperclip (after you straighten it out). Push the paperclip in and it should open the drive. Good Luck.

SOURCE: I cannot eject cd from
Most CD drives have a small pinhole in the front face to manually release the drawer. Use a paperclip or similar item to insert in the hole, and push. This will manually release the drawer and cause it to try to open. Be careful as the CD may have become dislodged from the spindle mechanism and askew in the tray.
Hope that's helpful.
