Question about Bosch SHU9915UC Dishwasher

1 Answer

When I first used the dishwasher, I was amazed at how sparkling the glasses were. Now, after about 5 months, the glasses have a haze on them. I fill the Jet-Dri when the "low" light comes on. I have cleaned my filter and am sure of adequate water and temperature, but my glasses still have a haze on them. Suggestions?

White film deposits are observed if water is hard or when you are using more detergent than needed, try filling detergent cup half way. Try using white vinegar after the wash cycle is complete, run a complete cycle. Also turn down the heat on the hot water fed to the dishwasher. Try using water softener for better results.
You can also add vinegar in the final rinse cycle. Make sure that your soap dispenser drawer is opening and closing fine.

Hope this helps... Please post back if more information is required.

I've used vinegar too and it works pretty well. Another good solution is a new product called CitriClean. It clears all all the cloudiness and hard water deposits on dishes. And it allows you to use less than a tablespoon of detergent. find it at

I would run a couple (or more) cycles using TSP (tri-sodium phosphate), it's safe to use with dishes. That should cut the grease and make glasses sparkle.

GlassEs won't clean

Do you use a rinse aid? I've been using a orange grease cutting gelpacs in the soap dispenser and make sure to use a rinse aid in the section with the screw on top. I usually fill the rinse aid about once a month. The citrus gelpacs seem to make glass sparkle. I've only tried the "Finish" brand of gelpacs.

Doesn't clean properly, Leaves dry residue in washer

My dishwasher had the same problem. glasses were cloudy, inside the dishwasher was coated with a film, drawers were hard to pull out. tried rinse agents and vinegar and nothing worked. Found lemi-shine at WalMart (it's next to the dishwasher detergent) and the white stuff is gone! no more residue and glasses sparkle again. I was ready to buy a new dishwasher I was so frustrated. get some - it's amazing! a couple bucks and it's back to normal. I was SOOOO happy!

THE glassses inside is where you see it the most like not rinsing right i have looked at the holes on the sprayers cleaned them there is rinse liquid so thats ok but it still has the entire dishwasher has...

We had the same problem and finally found a solution that has worked for us for many years. We found using dry powder detergents didn't work for us. They left a white film and scratched our glasses after years of use. We switched to Cascade All in One Gel and it stopped most of the film. Don't fill up the pre-wash with any detergent, if you have that option, just use the gel in the wash section and you don't need a lot. We fill it up to the lowest line and it cleans REALLY well, or what would be about 3 tablespoons or so. Next we use Jet Dry in the rinse dispenser and set it up to at least medium or 4 or 5 if you have a selection for your rinse dispenser. Next we put 1/2 cup of white vinegar in our dishwasher every time we wash. We pour it in the bottom right before we wash. We have been doing this for 9 years in our old dishwasher and a year in our newer one and have never had any trouble doing this. It leaves our dishes sparkling clean and the glasses aren't scratchy anymore. Make sure any trap down on the bottom of the dishwasher isn't stopped up too and once a month keep those spray holes cleared of any gunk by using a toothpick to clear any holes out of any gunk. Lastly, don't overload the dishwasher and make sure there is space between each dish and position all plates toward the center. Hope this helps. It has made our lives MUCH easier!

Cloudy Glasses

The problem is hard water and jet dry will not solve that. There is a new product out called The Dishwasher Filtration System. It filters the water going into your dishwasher leaving your dishes spot free with every load. It is very affordable and fits right under the sink. You will be amazed how sparkling your dishes look just after one load. You will love this product. Get it at

I have a residue on my dishes after washing.

It really helps to know the Make and Model of your dishwasher.
Recommend either Electrosol or Cascade powder. Do not use gel or tablets in any dishwasher.
If problems continue, have the heating element checked because that is another common reason for unclean dishes.

Glasses are cloudy and rust spots on cuttlery

I had the same issue until I switched from Cascade to Electrosol. I still use the Cascade rinse solution in the door dispenser. Also use the heated dry option. The energy saving option seems to promote clouding.
