Hi, the flame sensor is not working. Try cleaning it with some steel wool.

It's usually a cylinder that sits in front of the flame. Let me look it up for that model.

Sorry, I think your unit uses a small photo cell that looks at the flame from the back. Check to make sure it isn't blocked. You might need a new one.

It could be a pressure problem, old fuel, clogged nozzle, etc. If you can furnish me with the correct model number, I will be able to help you further. Reply by using the Leave a Comment link.

Thanks

Is this a propane or kerosene heater? If it is kerosene, check your fuel, clean your tank and start with fresh fuel. Check your fuel filter/air filters at the back of air pump. Make sure your ignition system is working.

I have a portable forced air heater Model R55A heater size 55,000/Hr can I use diesel fuel instead of kerosene?

You can, but prolonged use of diesel fuel will burn out the cone faster. Too hot. And it stinks alot worse than kerosene.

What is the model number? Could be a number of things, depending on which technology is used on your particular 55,000 btu heater.
