I have a motherboard EliteGroup P4VMM2 in 3.x Can I connect an external USB 2.0 hard drives to this motherboard more volume 250Gb

Yes you can connect and it is compatible but if there is a problem, there is also available driver for USB 2.0 and try to get the free download. Regards

Yes you can.

If the usbdrive doesen`t work, you might have to upgrade the driver for the usb controler.

If not the right driver, find it here:

Not getting recognised by the computer anymore... also, the lights are not blinking...

try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

TRy connecting to other systems if your harddrive works then try purchasing a externally powered usb hub and use it.

If you have anyother SMPS you can try changing that too

you'll find that the external chassis is buggered, get a new one and put the hdd in and see if your info is still there.

Slow boot with Vista and MyBook 250GB external USB.

Its the motherboard problem. Just DISABLE in BIOS option in USB tab: SUPPORT USB LEGACCY - or similar to this. This helps on 90percent of motherboards.
