Question about Computers & Internet
Is the password in the BIOS or when you log into Windows? If it is in the BIOS what you will have to do is reset it. You do that by opening up the case and looking for the jumper that resets the BIOS. You will probably need a pair of tweezers or small needle nose pliers and move the jumper to the reset position. Also, remove the battery which will look like a watch battery but a bit larger. After about a minute replace the battery and put the jumper block in it's original position and boot up. You will probably have to reconfigure the BIOS but not always. Please make sure you unplug the PC first before doing this!
If it is the windows password, if you didn't make a backup disk with your password or set a remider clue as to what it could be, you could try logging into the administrator account. Just follow these steps here....http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/507-built-administrator-account-enable-disable.html. If you cannot log into your account then follow the steps in option no. 4 then method 2. Good luck!
