Hello sounds to me like the thermostat is either faulty or needs replacement as soon as possible ,you will certainly do alot of harm to the head if you keep driving it this way bring it to your local mechanic and have him look at it for you

What's causing my b 14 engine to overheat when at an idle for about 10to15 minutes

I suspect the cooling fans are not kicking in when the coolant reaches the trigger temperature. But you don't mention if the fans are operating.

When the vehicle is moving with enough speed there is usually enough air flow for the radiator to dissipate enough heat without fans but not when the car is stationary which is one condition where the fans are necessary.

In any event there is some material in the link you I suggest should read.

What to Do When Your Engine Overheats

Turn the a/c on and the car overheats

Might be cooling fan clutch or the electric fan could be broken, the engine-cooling fan moves air through the radiator when your car is stationary or traveling at a slow speed, this air removes the heat from the coolant created by the engine, using the radiator as a conductor. When the cooling fan no longer works it causes the coolant to overheat which causes the engine to overheat. Also check the radiator, when the AC is turned on, the heat released from the condenser located in front of the radiator reduces the radiator's ability to remove the heat and the engine starts to overheat.

did they pressure check the cooling system for leaks? if not get a pressure check but worse case scenario it is the water pump. best case scenario its a small pin hole in a hose. sorry for possible bad news

My recently acquired Toyota Corolla 1994's engine get overheat when I drive with the A/C "off" but works normal even on long drive when the A/C is on. What's wrong with my car?

Replace the viscous fan hub if you have one as it is not moving air through the radiator at idle or when the car is stationary. Check electric fan operation if you have electric fans as it amounts to the same result.

Volkswagen passat 2002 overheats when in traffic/stationary

Your mechanic is not necessarily wrong. What he changed were the easily changed items to stop overheating-things recommended by all mechanics. Since that didn't help, you will have to dig further. What you need to do now is have the engine checked for a head gasket failure.

Car is overheating, thermostat was changed and the radiator was flushed, car does not overheat while idoling, but when you start driving it overheats

It sounds like water pump may be your problem. It circulates a 50/50 mixture of glycol (or some form of) and water through the engine block and cylinder head and back through the radiator. In the radiator the mixture is cooled when air passes over the fins of the radiator. This is accomplished by driving or a mechanical/electrical fan when stationary. The water pump also circulates the mixture through the heater core giving the car heat. If the water pump is not circulating the water back to the radiator to cool, it will overheat. More heat is caused by the engine when driving (much less heat when idling), hence the overheating while driving.
I hope this helps and good luck!

Vw passat 03 overheats when ac is on in peak traffic/stationary

since the water pump was replaced, make sure you don't have an air pocket in the cooling system. flush your cooling system again. remember, if all was well before the tune up/preventative maintanance, it's within those items that were replaced. I don't think it's the condensor, thats a/c related, but the radiator and water pump, well those can cause overheating problems. when the system overheats, you will feel it in the ac.
