Question about Powershot Tool Company Tools & Hardware - Others

1 Answer

Sir, i was given a PowerShot staple 'gun' by a friend as it was broken, after she purchest a new unit. As i am a retired maintenance eng. i dismantled the unit and found the rivet connecting the staple impactor plate with its small ' 'T' ' shaped trigger plate had sheared , i do not have a maint. manual to ID the correct parts names. I re -riveted them, and get a good amount of work done before the rivet stretches(not being hardened steel) and i have to peen the rivet tight again. My question is gentlemen, can i purchase a new imp.plate /trigger att. and if you have a supplier here in the west of Scotland for spares. the only number on this upholstery silver gun is in its box=360052 HD forward action staple and nail gun. hope you can help an old eng. thanks John.

Seeing that you have a staple gun that costs about $20 new, it would most likely cost more then that to have a single part mailed to you. Buy a new gun

How do you load staples into the Power Shot Model 5700M staple and nail gun? There is no manual in the package despite direction on the side of the gun to read it!

I have owned a Black & Decker Powershot before. Throw it away. They are **** . Stick with a Arrow or Craftsman. I didn't like the Black & Decker and gave it to a friend that was looking for a staple gun. He threw it away ! Worst excuse for a staple gun I've ever seen. Awkward to use and preforms on a scale of 1 to 10 , doesn't even hit 1 !

Brand new out of package loaded with correct staples.... unit does not work

I had one. didn't like it.they are herd to squeeze because they work backwards compared to a regular staple gun. Take it back for a refund, tell them it is not what you wanted. They never get staples to go flush with anything you use it on.Buy a Craftsman or a Arrow.I gave my Powershot away, and the person I gave it to threw it away.

No instructions came with the stapler and the . I can't get it open to install staples! I need this now. You start a project and can't get what you need! I was expecting more from a product...

Open the PowerShot staple gun staple chamber. This is found on the front of the staple gun. There is a small metal area on the bottom. Pull down on this and the interior of the staple chamber is revealed.
  • Remove any existing staples that may be in the chamber. These can be pried out with your fingernail, or you can turn the staple gun upside down and gently shake the staples loose.
  • Slide a new row of approved staples into the PowerShot staple gun. These need to be slid in from the base of the staple gun (where you pulled the cover of the chamber off).
  • Close the cover to the PowerShot staple gun's staple chamber and you are ready to use your staple gun on the next household project.

I have recently been given a Powershot 8000 stapler and having trouble loading staples ,how does it load?

With the staple exit facing toward you (don't squeeze the handle), find the small black square at the bottom (opposite end) from staple exit. Grasp both sides. Pull away from gun (not down). Chamber will open.
