Locksmith called to house to look at safe and recommend that maybe an external battery pack which would be connected to electric main and then to the socket in Safe might give power to enable us to open safe. Any idea where you might purchase a battery pack.

There is only one solution to this problem. Your safe is locked, you cannot open it electronically because the battery is dead and the keys are lost. Purpose of the safe is to preserve your important documents and other items from fire and theft. In the case of small safes, mostly protection from fire. Since they are easily carried, they can be easily removed (taken).

A safe would not provide much protection if just anyone could get "the master key" from someone on the internet. I certainly would not purchase such a device! There is no "master key" and if there were, it wouldn't be sold at this self help site. The only selling that occurs here are items from supporting advertisers and paid subscriptions for answers, such as you have purchased.

You paid to have this question answered and here is the answer. Since you can not open the device due to a dead battery and since you cannot find the keys, you will have to take your safe to a lock smith and have him or her manipulate the lock open for you. It will be cheaper if you can take your safe to their place of business though many lock smiths will come to where you are located. Expect a service charge if they come to your home to perform this service for you. After the lock smith opens the safe, he or she will make a new set of keys for you. Expect to pay about $100.00 US for the service. My suggestion in this case is that you get additional keys made. Give one to a parent or close personal friend. Put one in your tool box. Tape one to the bottom of the TV. You get the idea. .

I am sorry you are in this situation. Thank you for your interest in

Since you are using the term "connected to the main", I know you are not in the US. As I understand it, you have hired a lock smith and he or she has been to your home and he has looked at the box and he said you should purchase a external battery? Is there a place to plug such a thing into the box? (This is very unusual) Do you know or is it printed on the box somewhere what the voltage is? If you know the voltage, perhaps you can find a proper battery or 'battery eliminator' at a electronics store. Where I am located, the trick would be finding the proper plug connection, presuming that in fact, you can even make the connection.

I suggest several courses of action.

One: Call another lock smith and have the safe opened properly and keys made.

Two: Return to the place you purchased the safe and see if they are able to provide this external power supply the lock smith was making reference to.

Three: Contact the manufacturer and ask for help:

    Thanks for the feedback

If battery is totally dead and you cant get in with the key. I would call out a lock out service and un lock the door. Then pop the hood and replace battery. Cause no alarm system would work with a battery that dead I would imagine.

How does the Draper stud detector work

It produces a tuned magnetic field of it's own, and when a live wire or a nail enter that field it changes the loading in the detector's circuitry throwing it off tune, and depending how it is thrown off determines ifit is a nail, a wire or a live wire.

It is the same basic principle of a metal detector you would use onthe beach to find metal things.

My mercedes clk battery dead i cant open trunk

On the side of the smart key there is a mechanical key that slides out of one of the sides-There should be a little release lever retaining the mechanical key. It can be inserted into the trunk lock and turned to open the trunk. There are several other positions the key can be turned to place the trunk lock actuation in different modes- it should be in your owner's manual Hopefully I have been helpful
