We can't understand what you are saying... DO NOT PLUG the speaker output(s) of this unit into anything BUT speakers !!! There is a hazard if using 1/4 inch speaker cables that can fry the amp.

Help with hooking up a compressor for vocals.

The compressor is a really good idea and should be connected between your mixer and your amplifiers. Your "integrated" mixer/amp is a bit tricky in that you will have to "insert" the compressor in the signal path.

If you have the "console" model....

1. "Main 1 Out" left and right to the input of your compressor and the output of the compressor connected to the "PWR Amp Insert."

2. What is known as Tip, Ring, Sleeve patch cable and plug connected ONLY to the "PWR Amp Insert." This type connection breaks out into a "Input" and "Output" using a single 1/4 stereo plug.

If you have the "square box with knobs on front" model

1. "Main Output" to input of comressor and compressor outputs to "Input to Main" (aka "AUX IN").

Check your owners manual for hookup details or suggestions and remember, all outputs feed inputs and all inputs feed outputs.

Dropped mixer about 400 mm from speaker to floorsound comes up to headphones output but not to main mix socket

Open unit. 1. Look for cables knocked off. 2. Using bright light look for circuit board cracks and broken solder. 3. Look for broken pots, especially the main slider. All of these problems are repairable by competent electronics tech.

No power from amp outlets of mixer works fine

The amp module has likely blown. Repairs can be exetensive within the module. Try cycling the power as there is an overcurrent sensing in the amps that locks the switching signal off. Let the unit remain off for several minutes and retry it. This all assumes it has worked before and the cables are good. Also please read my tip on here about PMP mixers regarding a hazard on the A output when using Speakon to 1/4 inch cables. The A output s;leeve of a 1/4 inch jack is the HOT, NOT the tip of the plug, unlike the B output.

How do I hook up two powered 15's and two passive 15's to this mixer(1202-VLZ3)?

You connect the powered 15's using balanced cables. The passive speakers you will have to get an amplifier for as the mixer does NOT have a powered output, only line-level audio outputs.
The powered speakers MAY have audio line level outputs to continue to other powered speakers or, as in your case, external amplifiers to drive your passive speakers.
Remember to power ALL interconnected equipment from the same receptacle or source to avoid ground bounce faults that can destroy sensitive circuits in your equipment.

How to connet mixer to powered boxes

Use balanced audio connecions with XLR and/or TRS plugs from the outputs to the inputs of powered speakers. Make sure ALL interconnected equipment is powered by same receptacle or source, even if it means running an extension cord to your mixer.

Need to connect to a sound blaster live sound card for recording using sonar as recording program. hace had it in storage for sometime and can't remember what went where

This particular mixer offers a usb (2 channel connection) that can be simply plugged into the computer usb 2.0. These channels should be available in Sonar from the channel Input/output drop boxes. You may need to restart Sonar, the mixer or both for them to be recognized. You may also need to run the Wav Profiler in Sonar. Typically the Wave Profiler is found in the Options>Audio menu but may be different on each edition of Sonar. The above info is for Sonar 7.

If you are wanting to record several channels at once then I would recommend connecting your Mixer's Direct Outputs from each channel to a corresponding input of the soundblaster if your soundblaster supports multiple channels. And then use the usb outbut from the Sonar to monitor the computer playback of your master stereo channel. Or, you may connect the soundblaster outputs to unused channels of the mixer or to the tape return or auxilary inputs to monitor the computer playback on the mixer.

Alternately you can send the signal to your soundblaster via the buss outputs. This will limit the number of simaltanious output channels to the number of busses on the mixer, but you can send any mixer channel to any buss without unplugging the instruments or mics.

Here's the link to the page where you can download the free pdf manual for this mixer. Page 14 explains the output connections and has diagrams.

I have a behringer pmp3000 powered mixer and have had the output B to go out on it and we have not had it for 3 wks yet. previously we had a pmh3000 and have the same issue 3 times and decided to purchase...

Common problem... If you drive it hard and have any glitch on your speaker cables or bad speakers or cables not completely plugged in, the amp will arc between layers of the multi-layer circuit board in the amp module. Usually it is the rearmost amp that fries...While the parts cost is nominal (less than $20, the labor to restore is extensive. I have repaired 4 of these and it involves carving out burned board, re-insulating, and replacing blown circuit traces with jumpers as well as replacing 3 to 5 transistors, a Zener diode and sometimes a metering resistor.

One can get a new power amp module online. It is an HCA2400 and I have seen them for around $175.

It is VERY important to NOT have flakey speakers or cables and PLEASE read my tip on here regarding one of the amp output being hot on the outside of the 1/4 inch plugs instead of the tip if you use Speakon to 1/4 inch cables.
