Hi, if you mean you can't really hear people loudly when they speak, then all you need do is when the call is on, you see the "big box" at the top of your number botton....continue to press the upper part once the call is on, it will increase the volume.

but if you have said that you do not hear people at all when they call you, that means your phone earpiece is faulty...and you can really comfirm this by using ear phones with the phone and see whether you will hear people when they call you.

cheers

How to I turn the universal volume on a Norton Networks T7316E Phone?

Have you tried to call the phone and adjust the volume on the set while the call is coming in? I think the only way you can adjust the ringer volume is if the phone is ringing.

During a call, you can adjust the volume as you normally would, using the + and - buttons on the side.

I use the handset lifter for the phone I have (Polycom SE-225). When am sitting at my desk neat the phone, I speak anything above a low normal into the bluetooth headset, like when I am laughing or people...

Unfortunately no. The phone ringer has to be a certain volume for the lifter microphone to pick up the ringing vibrations. If you put it to low, you will not be alerted to the incoming calls. When you're at your desk and can see the incoming calls, maybe then you can lower the telephone ringer volume for some relief.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

Can increase the volume of calls

Yes, you can. To adjust the volume on a call, press the volume-up button during a call. There is not (as far as I know) a way to adjust the call volume when you're not actually in a call.

Incoming callers cannot hear me very well

Since there is no volume adjustment for outgoing volume with the Navigator key, that's possible.

Go find another handset from another system phone and test it, or just move to another phone and see if they can hear you better.
You could have a bad handset, bad cord (unlikely), bad phone, or bad circuit for that line or call.

Almost al of these items are repairable or replacable.

Can't hear caller's voice

Turn up the volume control.  Don't have the manual in front of me but go into phone settings and look for the volume settings( not the ringer).  Check in your manual, you'll find it.
