Question about Trixter X-Bike 1000 Indoor Cycle Exercise Bike Bicycle
You are missing the second resistance adjustment. There are 9 positions on the grip shift, but one offers no resistance so there are 8 resistance settings here. In addition there are four positions on the second adjustment. 4 * 8 = 32.
The secondary adjustment is made by turning the small black adjustment wheel where the cable exits the grip-shift.
This adjustment isn't highly significant. Technically, I suppose they can claim 32 resistance levels, but in reality it will probably feel more like 16. If you want extra resistance, you could also tighten the cable on the v-brake, but this is liable to stretch the cable and wear the brake pads out quicker.
Hope this helps.
