The cap probably goes on the the hinge part, most likely on the top just for looks.

What is the plastic knob under the door hinge used for on kenmore model 7803 refrigerator?

Most modern fridges have these small plastic knobs [usually both top and bottom]. They are usually only COVERS for threaded mounting holes so that the fridge/freezer doors can be mounted for either left OR right opening ... ok They are generally around 1/2" [13mm] in diameter x 1/8" [3mm] in height.
They also help support the door [when it is closed] and prevent any "sagging" and/or mis-alignment or distortion of the fridge door which [these days] can be quite heavy when fully loaded.

Beko fridge freezer left door open all night in error

If the door was left open the fridge compressor would have run without a cut off and so would have resulted in an error. Please shut down the fridge fully remove power for about 6 hours and restart.

Hi, I have a BEKO TLDA662 Tall Larder Fridge and trying to get the drain tray out of back at bottom of fridge as it has starting smelling & want to clean. Instructions say "push lug down...

Let's make a guess that there is some sort of latch at the front of the tray that you push down with a screwdriver to release. They wouldn't have you use a screwdriver at the rear of the tray, or would they?. Use a flashlight to see if anything looks like a latch (or lug) at the front.

I want to switch the doors from left to the right side

Hi, The parts are interchangeable (hinges & handles)
You should have some small plastic plugs/caps that are covering the holes already drilled for the change. Once you remove the doors and then remove the plugs, just reinsert the plugs into the old holes and switch hinges and door handles to the opposite spots.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

Is it possible to switch door hinge from right side to left?

Hi, In MOST cases it is possible. There sould be some small plastic caps in the places where you would put the hinge screws. Just remove the plastic plugs with a small knife (carefull not to ruin them) and once you have changed the hinges over, put the plastic plugs into the screw holes that the hinge was attached to.

Hope this helped

Larder fridge running far too cold

I was told that it ispossible for a snall pin in the thermostat to stick and that vigorously turning the knob up ad down a few times might well unstick the pin
Tried it and it worked!

Fridaire model frt181l6d50

You'll need to remove the top hinge cover from whatever side it is on currently and then lift the door off the hings post ( set the door aside) .. then the top of the fridge will have small removable caps that hide the nuts for where you fasten the hinge to that side. Reinstall those caps to hide the holes in the top of the fridge where the hinge used to be. Next, you will have to transfer the handle on the door to the opposite side ( same process as the hinge) .. You wil find small plastic caps that hide the holes you'll be using to secure the handle to the opposite side,. use the same process for the freezer door too..This process only applies to top/bottom type freezers and not side by side. Hope that helps
