There are 2 ways to open new tab window in mozilla firefox.

Fist:-The internet home page which is already open>>you will have PLUS(+) symbol on top right>>when you click on it it give a new tab now.

IInd:-Open firefox>click file on top right hand side>.then lick new tab

If still you are not able to new tab or getting any problem then that means firefox is is older version or has some issue.

Now you can try to upgrade to new version like 4.0

here is the link to download firefox newer version and you will be able to open new tab
in this >

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.6/releasenotes/

click on 4.0 firefox download on right hand side...

cheers!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Keep getting connecting tab

Open your Internet Option in the control panel and go to the advanced tab and click the RESET tab to reset internet explorer to it's default settings.

If that don't solve the problem try a better browser. Internet Explorer is the worst browser there is.

Try downloading Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome.Unlike Internet Explorer they install in less than 5 minutes and they arefaster and safer than Internet Explorer.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download MozillaFirefox" (without the quotes). Download and Install Mozilla Firefoxfrom Mozilla's website. Do the same thing for Opera and Google Chrome.

I've put the links of each one below so if you like you can just click on themto go to their site to do the download and install.

How do I open a new tab? If I hit control + t it doesn't work

There are many ways to open a new tab. The Control-t or command-t (for windows and mac, respectively) is just one way. There should be a plus button in the tab bar which will open a new tab, and it should be an option in one of the first menus at the top of your screen. If these are not the case, you have a very old version of firefox, and you should download the latest one Here: www.mozilla.com

If you are having problem with Mozilla Firefox in recovering windows and tabs after it crashed you may try to restart the browser. If you are using the recent version you may  to do this Ctrl+Alt+R. And configure the browser by following the steps below.

Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time.

note:

Make sure that you do not start Firefox in Private Browsing mode (Tools > Stop Private Browsing is grayed)

How to stop all computer downloads

First,
In Firefox 3.6.3, under Firefox Preferences/ Security tab, please check the box that says
"Warn me sites try to install add-ons".

In addition, there's a pushbutton for "Exceptions"
Once you press the button, it takes you to a list of sites that are allowed to install add-ons.

Surprise, surprise ! This is where you usually see
addons.mozilla.org and
update.mozilla.org.

Remove these sites if you don't want automatic updates.

Second : under Firefox Preferences/ Advanced/ Update tab, please clear all the checkboxes to disable automatic checking for updates.

I HAVE AN ASUS EE PC 901(LINUX). WHEN I BOOT IMMEDIATELLY A FIREFOX WINDOW OPENS MANY TIMES WITH THE HELP PAGE. THIS HAPPENS ALSO AFTER I CLOSE THIS WINDOW. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You MAY have it set up to remember the previous tabs and it keeps adding and collecting more and more tabs.
Your options are:
1)go into the firefox Tools - Options and

2)go into firefox, select Bookmarks - Organize Bookmarks - and then Export the bookmark file to your desktop. Then remove Firefox from your computer entirely using Add Remove softare from the control panel. Also you will need to restart the computer and rmeove c:\Program Files\Mozilla. Download the new mozilla, reboot the computer and then reinstall the firefox program.
