First try to do a System Restore.
- Open the start menu and click all programs.
- Go to Accessories.
- Go to System Tools.
- Then choose System Restore from that menu.
- When System Restore opens choose Restore my computer to an earlier time and hit next.
- On the calender see if you can pick a time before you started having problems. Choose that day and click next. It will run and should reboot the PC. It might take a little bit just let it do its thing.
If that doesn't work try this.
Open the My Computer icon on you desk top. If you don't see it on your desk top it will be in the start menu on right side of menu. Left click to open it. A window will pop up that show your drives (C:), (D:) and so on. Right click on the (C:) drive choose Properties from the drop down menu. The next window will have some tabs on the top. It will look something like this.
Click the Tools tab. There will be an option to Check Now. Click it and put a check in both little boxes and click the start button. It will say the PC needs to restart to preform this task. Restart the PC and walk away till it gets done.
Hope this helps.
