Question about Kenmore Kitchen Ranges
The burner replacement is very easy and cheap, you can get replacement at the big harware stores or sears, they simply pull out and new ones slide in. There may be some retaining screws involved. As far as the switch goes for the front burner, it needs replaced as well. The burner controls are like dimmer switches for lights, they change the currunt going to the burner, when a burner only works on high that means the switch has gone bad. These are also easy to replace, usually a nut that holds it in oplace behing the panel and a couple of wires. Depending on where you get the parts, the should run between $15.00 and 25.00 for the burner, and $20.00 -$50.00 on the switch. I am not seeing this model number for some reason so I am ball parking these prices. Add another $60.00 to $100.00 for labor if you call a service person. But these are not hard to do, google the phrase, how to replace a burner on an electric range, there are instructions there and you will see how easy it is to do.
