My hitachi 50inch plasma has been dogged with problems,it now turns itself off without any screen and reverts to standby after only a few seconds.i had this problem previously and the repairers under warranty replaced the Y-Sustain board .can i assume this will fix the problem again or can it maybe something else

Have the whole unit replaced if you are still in warranty surely they will agree if they see it on your service record. talk to a supervisor if you have to.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. plama tvs do this often after you have it for a while. there is no salution but to buy a new tv. this happened to my dad's friend and he said you cant fix it you just have to buy a new one. he akso said his next tv wont be a plasma of ant type!
I suspect that your power controller board has a problem and is causing the shutdown. If it is under warranty, get it fixed under warranty. If it is not, it may be possible to purchase the board and install it your self. Be careful though plasma TVs have some areas to avoid when servicing.
Hi, two things.. Either your remote needs new batteries, or you need to switch off your tele and allow it to reboot for a few minutes before switching it back on, I hope this helps
I have had this problem in some models of plasma sets before. In most cases the power supply and main drive boards had to be replaced. In a small number of cases the failure was the screen itself.
In all cases, the cost of the repair was expensive. For the screen failure, the set was scrapped.
