You might have low water volume. Are the cubes standard size?

Icemaker is slow in producing ice

If your icemaker is producing ice, but it is slow, there are 2 likely explanations.
1. Temperature. Water freezes at 32 deg, but the icemaker won't eject the ice until it gets below 10 degrees. If you always had good ice output and all of a sudden it has slowed down, you're temperature is a little higher than ideal. Check for a door seal not making good contact or try dropping the temp in the FREEZER side a couple degrees
2. New model. Most new refrigerators make ice much slower than older models to meet energy efficiency guidelines. This is not a repairable issue.

The refrigerator isn't cooling. Freezer is ok.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

Freezer and frige not that cold

You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

THe fridge is running OK. But the freezer is running @ 50 deg

Hi,

Here is a service manual for the samsung fridge mentioned:

Samsung service manual

Have a look at page 29 to page 34, the section titled self diagnostic's which will explain how to get the system to perform various self checks.

There could also be another section of interest on page 20 and page 31.

I'm not trying to make you **** lemons when you read these sections as they talk about operating controls but I'm just making sure that you havn't accidentally turned something off by accident.

Feel free to have a browse through but there iis a lot of information regarding how to take the fridge apart which i really doubt you need to do or would want to do.

Fridge leaking

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure
check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.
The water problem may be that Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help. Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

I just bought a new one and plugged it in about 2 hours ago. when does the ice maker start to make ice?? and what is the correct temp for the fridge and freezer to be at??

it will take a little while for the ice maker to get the air out of the line so it can make ice. Start with the middle number on the temp guage and adjust after a few days if necessary. hope this helps :)

LG SIDE BY SIDE - REPLACED FILTER BUT WATER VERY SLOW

You may have ice building up inside the fill tube that is slowing the water flow.  You will have to remove ice maker to see inside the tube.  If the tube has ice buildup, use a hair dryer to melt the ice.  Then is should work fine.
