Question about Samsung SyncMaster 2233BW 22" LCD Monitor
The case is most likely snapped together. Check around the perimeter for any screws first, then use an old credit card to run around the edge to separate the plastic. Just go slowly and pry around the edge until you get the tabs to pop.
Once inside the back of the lcd, you should have two circuit boards. One will be for power and the other for feeding video to the lcd. If you have no video signal at all, then the problem will reside on the video board. However, if you have an image but the screen is dark, it may just be the bulb.
DIY bulb replacement is possible if you are familiar with electronics and soldering. Having it repaired professionally is usually close if not more than a new lcd.
