Question about GPS

1 Answer

Hi, I have a new Navman MY75T GPS that paired with my Samsung phone the first time I tried it, but now it has lost the pairing capability. The model is an SGHA 561. I cannot get the GPS to recognise the phone after trying many times. My brother in law has a new Navman and it also did the same thing with his Nokia phone. Is there a problem with the bluetooth function or is it the phone.

Try pairing the phones with a hands free device, if they pair and work, the problem is the gps, also remember that most phones can only pair with one bluetooth device at a time , so if you pair to the gps then pair to a handsfree device, the gps connection will be lost .

Can not connect bluetooth to MY65T Navman

I've got MY65T working on an iPhone 3GS. I previously had the problem where it would pair and retrieve phone book, but not transmit or receive voice from my iPhone when making a call.

The last thing I did that fixed it was to remove the bluetooth pairings and "reinstall software on your navman". I don't know if this may remove some of your settings / POI / etc. This was a new purchase so I didn't have anything to lose.

Before doing this I had upgraded the navdesk software to 7.30, and installed the latest firmware for MY65T. Firmware is located at http://www.navmansupport.com.au/Software/My%20Series/MY65T/MY250___352.htm

Details:
-remove the phone bluetooth pairing from the Navman from Settings / Bluetooth / My Paired Devices / [your phone] / delete
-remove the bluetooth pairing from your phone's settings
-connect navman to PC and launch navdesk
-click "My Navman" / "Reinstall software on your Navman"
-download the install file if prompted
-accept the reinstallation prompts and complete reinstallation
-set your phone to discoverable over bluetooth (just keep it on the Bluetooth settings screen on iPhone)
-go to Settings / Bluetooth /" Search new devices" on your Navman
-click your phone's name on the navman's discovered devices
-enter the PIN onto your phone when prompted and accept the pairing. This takes a little while.
-test handsfree!

Navman MY75T was working fine for several weeks, but today it won't start up. Tried to reset several times, but no luck. It gets to the Safety Agreement screen, and when I press the "Accept"...

1. Connect Navman GPS to PC viamini-usb cable. 2. Go to 'Start' 3. Go to 'My Computer' 4. Open the 'Navman' folder 5. Open the 'Database' folder 6. Delete the following file only- 'dababase.db' 7. Close the folders 8. Disconnect the mini-USB cablethen restart the Navman GPS by sliding the switch to 'Restart' then back to'On' after 10 seconds. The unit shouldstart & the database.db file will be re-generated automatically.

Phone will not find other phones on bluetooth

I'm sorry buddy because there is no way for your phhone to pair up with other BT capable phones because eventhough the phone has bluetooth, it is only capable of pairing with a bluetooth carkit & bluetooth headset.

The SGH-A177 does not have a File transfer profile under the bluetooth profiles that ur phone is supporting.

U need to have another higher model but call Samsung first to inquire if the other Samsung phone you want to buy has a file transfer profile.

Can't connect Navman S200 to Blackberry 8310 using bluetooth.

The Blackberry is not compatible, there is no patch to make it work. Have a look at the listed phones Navman have tested on their website. Try and see if Blackberry have any updates, that could maybe help the connection.

WOULD LIKE TO GET MY ZTE MOBILE PHONE WITH BLUETOOTH TO CONNECT TO MY NAVMAN B 80

I have been able to pair the navman with nokia, samsung, and sharp phones, but I haven't been able to pair the ZTE 252 with the navman. Personally I think this is due to it being a cheaply manufactured phone.
