Question about Nintendo DSi Black Console

The R button on my son's DSI will turn the game system completely off. And if you move the the top part of the DSI it will also turn the game off also!!!

Sounds like a manufacturing defect (or your son dropped it and didn't tell you). I'd suggest calling Nintendo and seeing what they can do about it under warranty.

Top and bottom screens are white


Sorry for the delay. If the dsi won't turn off when you first get the white screens, hold the power button for 8 seconds. The unit should go off. Take the game cartridge out of the unit and inside that cartridge slot, is a reset button. Using a toothpick or something, press it. Turn the unit back on and it should be fine. Hope this helps :D

My Dsi is completely frozen... it will no turn off,.. screen will not move.


You press the power button and the start button at the same time for like 5 sec and it going to turn off. After that you open it :)

there is a factory reset code
you have to press these buttons at the same time

left,right,select,start

this will factory reset your dsi i hope this helps

i think in the hot summer days leave the dsi with the L and R button open and wait for two days i promise it will work

Dsi r4i error message


According to the website for R4i SDHC the new system update for the DSI will not allow any cards to be used. R4i will only work on 1.3 version of the system software...To verify check the bottom right hand corner of the top screen in system settings...
