Question about Televison & Video

Sony KDL-40XBR3-- HD cable box to Monster component video cables (green, blue, red) to KDL-40XBR3 component video connections in back. Vibration (walking by) or moving Monster cable near TV connection produces pixelating and/or total loss of picture on some HD channels (not on non HD channels). Audio also affected. A bad set of connections on the KDL-40XBR3? Can it be fixed? Thank you for any insights.

Sony KDL-40XBR3 is an LCD. It is NOT a rear projection HDTV.

What cables go from my 55 inch hitachi tv to connect on the back of the dvd player . I have two monster cables red and blue together and three cables red blue and green together.

I have never herd of a red and blue combo but, The three, red, blue, and green are "component" cables. Hopefully your DVD player has a red, blue, adn green component out, not to be confused with red composite out. Composite cables are yellow, red and white, and, your tv has componenet in. The component cable will give you the best video quality. When installing make sure they are inserted all the way but twisting and wiggling or you will have a bluish, grenish, etc. picture. The composite cables give you the video only, so you will have to provide the audio. Audio can be achived using composite red and white or digital optical. If you second monster cable is red and white you can probably use those To go from "audio" red and white out on DVD to audio in red and white on tv. You must use the same audio input that corresponds to you video input.

How to connect electroic equiptment . Cable converted to tv

this depends on whether you are using a high definition box or not. If you are then try to use hdmi cable. very easy to find open port on the back of the tv. but some cable boxes do not support hdmi, so that leaves you with component cables which are 5 cables in one(red, blue, green, red, white). just watch your color codes and plug them in from the box to the TV. keep in mind that there are 2 red ones. one for video and one for audio. but they are labeled.

I need to know where to plug in my connectors for my cable box. I have two red ones and one blue one I can't find the right holes to plug them in. I have a green one and white one fixed so I have a black...

Hi,
This would be 5 pins, red-white is for audio and rest of 3 pins red-green-blue for video signal, it calls component video.
Find out red-green-blue jacks at back of TV that would be label as Y, Yr, Yb
Plug each pin in same color to get color picture.

BOSE 321 DVD movie movie picure is blue. Its connected to a Sony LCD digital Wide screen TV Bravia Model KDL 40V2500 and my cable box. Could it be a loose connection.

Sounds like you are using a component cable(red, green, blue) rather than an HDMI cable.

Component cables are fine to use but if one of the 3 cables is disconnected, loose or bad, you may see blue video.

Check for loose connections or bad cables and make sure the proper color is plugged into its matching color.

Hook up of dvd to tv

hey I think you need to use component cables blue green red from the player to the tv, make sure the blue green red ports are also on the tv, note: red yellow white composite cable will not interchange with blue green red component cable or connection.

simplify- blue green red= component
red white yellow=composite

*wires must match colors on both tv and player inputs.

then set your input on your tv to where you conected the cable.

From cable box component out to tv component picture is on no aud

You need to also connect the RCA audio out (red/white) from your source to the audio input on the TV. You do not need the yellow wire as that is for composite video. The component cable (red/green/blue) is only for video. Look at the input on the TV where you connected the red/green/blue cable. Right next to it, you should have another red and white connectors for the audio input. Connect that to the audio out on the cable box.

KP-53HS10 Real HD

On this TV there is only one input for any HD resolution. Input # 5 is the component input i.e. red/green/blue cable. Just get the correct cable and match colors from cable box to TV this will allow the TV to display 1080i resolution ( only one this TV supports ). FYI you will also have to connect the red and white cables to the appropriate inputs to get any sound because red/green/blue connectors are just for video display not sound. Once your connected you'll be able to access video # 5 be sure to set your cable box to 1080i resolution also. I hope this helps later J.

Sony bravia lcd tv-

If you are using a HD cable box or satelite with component outputs, be sure that all 3 cables ( green, red, and blue ) are making good connection.A loss of red or blue will cause color shift. Usually,if the tv menu comes up as the correct color but the picture dose'nt, it is most likely a signal problem.
