What is the value of resistor 601

600 ohms

A resistor with a number code instead of a letter code is a SMD:
Surface Mount Device. You might have searched for SMD resistor code and got some hits.
The system for SMD resistors is:
1st value-2nd value-multiplier
6 - 0 - 1 following zero
= 600 or 600 ohms
603 would be 60,000 Ohms or 60k
6 - 0 - 3 following zeros

Tip

How to Calculate SMD Resistor Code

SMD resistor codes isdifferent from the normal resistor color code (color bands) you had seen in theelectronic circuit boards. Surface mount resistors is very much smaller in than the normal carbon film resistor and because of this the numbers andletters were stamped upon or printed on the top side of the component. Thosenumbers and letters have a meaning and you could use that as information tofind out or calculate the desire resistance values. Sometimes the resistors aredesigned in a very small until we have difficulty to read the code. Byusing a magnifier glass we could easily read the resistor codes. clip_image002.jpg clip_image003.jpgThere are two types ofsurface mount resistors used in an electronic circuit board-the 3-digit and4-digit code SMD. The first two digits represent the two digits in the answer. The third digit represents the number of zero's you must place after the twodigits. Theanswer will be in Ohms. For example: 104 which mean 10 0000 (4 zero's)and the final answer is 100k. Let's calculate the 4 digit SMD, 1182 which mean118 00 (2 zero's) and the final answer is 11.8k.

I fried the labelled R12 resistor beyond identification on the console circuit board of my York 360 HRC elliptical cross trainer. York service is no help. Need schematics on the circuit board or something...

you should be able to get a new R12 resistor at radio shack. be VERY careful when heating the solder up to remove/replace the resistor. Hope this helps!

Mobitronic mps50A components

Hello Brenden,
Did you find the value for r13 on the Mobitronics MPS-50A power supply?
I am looking for that value also.
I
cannot locate where R13 is on the board so if you give me some direction I may be able to help.
I do not have a diagram just a power supply that I am trying to repair also.

I HAVE ONE MOTHER BOARD MS--639O VER:30B AND

HP motherboards are made by a motherboard manufacturer, for HP.

Typically Asus and Foxconn.

These manufacturers are the only ones, that would have direct values given for components used on that motherboard.

For example such as the capacitor's coded c212, and c209. (Code stamped on the motherboard next to the component)

Same thing with resistor's r9, r10, r12, and r13. However, the value should be coded on those resistors, just like any resistor. Use the color bands.

http://www.csgnetwork.com/resistcolcalc.html

A lot of times Electrolytic Capacitors that are of cheap quality, are not marked except for a manufacturer code marking. By the Electrolytic Capacitor manufacturer.

You may, or may not have luck in finding what that manufacturers code is.
First thing you need to find is what manufacturer it is.

Generally, manufacturers use a symbol for their name. Sometimes they stamp their name. Example Sanyo.
From there you can find out the needed information.
I believe the following article may help you in your endeavor,

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/595/2

(The above is Page 2. You may wish to start at the beginning of the article, also.

At the bottom of the written text, you'll see 1, 2, 3, and 4 in blue for the page numbers)

You can also tell me what you see on those capacitors, and I'll try to help identify them, and their values.
Just post this information in a Comment.

I have 110 volt durapro 18volt dc battery charger, component R14 has burnt out beyond recognition and I was hoping someone could tell me exactly what it is so I can replace it. Thanks

Hello,
The component is a resistor. The problem is going to be determining the resistors value since it was burnt and you can not see the color code. You might try contacting the manufacturer and asking them the value of that specific resistor by including the number like you did in your post R14. If you can find a wiring diagram for the product, it should tell you the value of the resistor also.

I hope this helps you getting started in solving the issue.

If you would not mind, please rate my help. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You

Sansui amp au11000

Without seeing the amp nor having the service manual in front of me, it sounds like you have a severe offset problem. There is either an open resistor or transistor in the early stages. With the output transistors removed from the unit, look around at voltage levels to determine where the fault is. I will try to locate the service manual. Can you post the parts that you have replaced?

Thanks,
Dan

Kds vs-f14

There is usually an identical resistor somewhere else on the circuit board, so if you cannot read the colors of the burnt one, you can read the colors from an identical resistor on the same board. If you just replace the resistor, it will probably just burn out again or damage another component, you have to find the cause of the resistor burning out, most likely an electrolytic capacitor failing. Look for bloated or seeping capacitors and replace those as well. Also look for broken or burnt toroid coils.
