You've stripped something out, its a mechanical problem. Probably on the bar that drives the print head.

Adf won't feed, just makes loud clicking sounds

Normally ADFs have a top feed roller and a bottom feed which turns in the opposite direction . If the top feed roller is dirty / dusty , the original will not be pulled through , Also if the original is very thick ( > 130 140 gsm )

Printer stays at "system initialyzing": not initializing and no sound to recognize

I have the same problem- It keeps saying SYSTEM INITIALISING. light is Green. It is a multixpress 63222DN. It was working fine until we replaced the cartridge. Now it is not even working with the old cartridge. Any one else with similar issue? Restarted, left it on all night , removed cartrifge and put back- replaced cartridge- removed drum and put back still no joy. The only thing as Ricardo mention - the fuse- how do you take it out?

CM2320 NF won't complete startup. Stalls when initailizing after clicking sound and both Ready/OK light and Attention (!) lights flash continuously. LCD display is blank. Nothing in paper path. No...

Hello,

This usually indicates a failure of the fuser assembly. This part is what heats the toner to melt it onto the page called fusing. The fuser has a heat roller the turns when you print and when you initialize the printer. The clicking sound is cause when the heat roller is stuck and not turning and the gears are slipping. The clicking sound will come from the back right hand side if this is the case. You will need to get a replacement fuser assemble and swap them out. You can do a Google search for "cn2320nf fuser assembly" to get the correct part number. By the spelling of Colour I am guessing you are in either Canada or Europe so you may need a different part number than the US part, it would be based on line voltage either 110v or 220v

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

System keeps initializing, will not allow you to copy or print. the message also states toner low prepare new one. we have inserted a new cartridge. i've turned have unplugged and turned it, waited 5...

Are the machine making noise that sounds like something is turning? If yes, that means that the machine replenishes the toner. Give her a little more offs and ons.
If does not help call service.

Mine keeps initializing by itself randomly..then freezes up.

This is a problem with the formatter board, try doing an nv ram ( turn off the printer and hold down the right arrow and the cancel button, turn the printer back on and continue holding until you see permanent storage init). If this doesn't work call hp tech support 1800 334 5144 and ask for a case number. This printer has a service note which will cover the formatter for 2 years.

Copy memory on HP L7580

sounds like you need to change your virtual memory settings or buy more RAM.
Here is how to change the settings:
I am assuming you use WINXP

  1. Click Start , right-click My Computer , and then click Properties .
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. In the Performance section, click Settings .
  4. Click the Advanced tab.
  5. In the Virtual memory section, click Change . Both the Initial and Maximum settings should be less than the reported Space available on the hard disk drive. The Initial size setting for the virtual memory settings should be about 200 MB, and should be higher than or equal to the recommended paging file size shown in the lower section of the dialog box. When you set the initial size, Windows reserves on the hard disk drive the amount of space you designated for virtual memory. The maximum amount allowable can be anything above the Initial size setting, but it should be at least twice the Initial size setting, as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2: The Windows XP Virtual Memory settings c00174885.gif
  6. Based on the information above, make any necessary changes to the Initial size and Maximum size settings.
  7. Click Set , and then click OK .
