BOSCH WTS84500GB Keeps shutting its off

First, does the dryer heat up? does the top of the dryer gets hot?
and most important, did you check the vent hose all the way to the outside to make sure you have a good (strong) air flow; check the vent line and hood to ensure it is clear from lint buildup

Kenmore 700 series Dryer shuts down after a few minutes in heated cycle, runs forever with no problem in Air Dry (no heat) mode, I disassembled the entire machine drum, motor, vents and removed every spec...

Brian, look inside your drum for some curved strips of metal that may be 6-8 inches in length. There may be two of them that run parallel to each other about half an inch apart. This is your moisture sensor. If you use dryer sheets like a lot of people do you may have an issue where there is a build up of residue from the dryer sheets on the sensors. Take some rubbing alcohol and some cotton balls or a rag and wipe down the sensor strips. If they come back blue in color there is build up on the strips. Keep wiping down until you no longer get any blue color. That build up can make the dryer think that the clothes are dry and shuts the dryer down. Hope this helps, I have done this on a couple of different dryers and it made a big difference.

My lg 2240 clean filter light blinks even though the filter is clean. when started it runs for 3 to 4 seconds then shuts off. if you wait for about a minute it will start again then shut off after 3 to 4...

This problem usually is caused by a restricted or blocked vent. The filter itself can be clean, but the duct work in the dryer after the filter, or the vent hose attached to the dryer, or the exhaust door attached to that hose is either restricted, plugged or blocked. Lint likes to build up in all areas the exhaust air goes, so check them all. The dryer has a sensor that will shut the dryer off if there is a restriction. Cleaning all of the duct work, from the filter all the way to where it exhausts outside, will usually solve this problem. An easy way to check is to unhook the exhaust hose from the dryer and run it. Does it keep running now? It is possible the sensor in the dryer has gone bad, but that is rare. 99% of the time it is lint build up in the venting.

My duet whirlpool dryer runs for about 10 to 15 minutes then it shuts down

Unhook the exhaust hose, run the dryer and see if it shuts off. If it does not turn off the hose is blocked and will need to be cleaned all the way to the outside vent.

If it still shuts down it could be blocked inside the dryer or there is a bad temp sensor.

Gas lights up for about 5 minutes and then burns out. Try to turn on dryer again, but flame won't light. I let dryer sit for aout 30 minutes and turn on again - flame starts up, but will only last...

If the flame is shutting of before it reaches the operating temperatures the likely failure is a restricted venting system. There is a high limit thermostat that will cause the flame to shut off if there is a lack of airflow due to a restriction in the vent system. Remove the lint filter screen and clean in with soap and water. The filter may appear clean but it could have a clear film of fabric softener residue covering it causing a restriction in the air flow too. After cleaning the filter reinstall it before running the next test.

For testing purposes only, disconnect the dryer vent hose from the back of the dryer and put a normal load of clothes in the dryer and start the dryer. If the clothes dry in the normal amount of time that would confirm a restriction in the vent hose or the venting system. NOTE: Do not leave the vent hose disconnected after running the test. Reconnect the vent hose.

You will likely find the clothes drying in the normal amount of time indicating a restriction in the venting.

My kenmore dryer runs for 5 minutes and shuts off. I have replaced the door switch and ran the dryer with the vent hose detached. Still not working

Try this: Find the sensing bars and clean em with 409 or windex. They may be coated with stuff from dryer sheets. This builds up a moisture barrier. The machine does not FEEL the wetness from the clothes and assumes they are dry.So it shuts down after 5 minutes. Let me know.

Dryer runs a few minutes then shuts off, after sevearl minutes, you can turn it back on, then shuts down again, any suggetions

it's overheating, you could have a bad motor or the dryer just needs to be cleaned out, when was the last time you cleaned it out? try disconnecting the vent line from the back of dryer and run it for a while, you should see a difference but you'll still need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into unplug the dryer first, vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is and if the vent line is a long run from the back of dryer to the outside vent i use a leaf blower to clean out the vent line, just make sure the outside vent isn't blocked with anything because if it is the vent line can pop.you should clean the dryer once a year, your clothes will dey on time, less parts will go on you and you won't have to worry about dryer fires

I have whirlpool dryer that the heat seems to kick on and off it is gas dryer

If heats for a few minutes then cuts off (heat) , then the 2 coils on the burner valve are probably bad . OR check the vent hose to the outside for good air flow . Sometimes , a dryer is pushed too far back , and it kinks the vent hose . If coils are bad , when dryer cools down , then restarting , cool coils will heat again for a few minutes , then stop heating till they cool off again .

Heat shuts off after a few minutes

Check Replace Thermostat. The Dryer Thinks Its Not Lighting Because The Thermostat Isn't Working.

The Dryer Has A Safety Mechanism So It Wont Flood Your Home With Gas. When The Thermostat Is Broken The Unit Doesn't Detect The Heat And Shuts Off The Gas.
