Question about NEC Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I have an NP510 projector that I need to use this Saturday to project pictures, videos and sound. I have been able to get the pictures and videos to play, but even though I ran a cable from my computer's earphone output to the audio input on the projector, no sound is coming out. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your comment, but we have already tried all that. I have plugged the cable into every port on the projector without success. And page 14 of the manual I have does not address audio problems at all. Is there some function I should press on the computer to feed the sound?

    I'll try the remote. Thanks!

Welcome to Fixya. If you need the audio of your presentation please check the connection if it is correct please refer to page 14 of the instruction manual. Please make sure that the cable from your computer is connected to the green port. if it is connected to the front port of the computer please try the port at the back. If you have spare cable it would be better to check if the cable is not working.

You can use the remote to adjust the volume up and down or the left and right on the projector panel.

You can also refer on page 37 on the manual.

Projector Input is on DVI - Video. HDMI cable thru an adapter is plugged into DVI port. When av receiver has "TV" selected; Picture is projected. When Blu-Ray is selected; there is no picture....

The Sharp XR-30X will display 720P and 1080i. The Blu-Ray player is trying to send 1080P which requires a handshake. It sounds like you might have to go into the Blu-Ray player and tell it to use 1080i.

DVD connection

You can use any dvd player to connect to this unit as long as it has either a S-Video plug or uses RCA plugs. These cables only transmit the Picture and not the sound. You will need to connect the DVD player up to something that can produce the sound as the HP only has a mono speaker.

Can project tv screen on litepro

Check the "Default Source" using the remote or buttons on top of the projector.

Default Source toggles among Computer 1 analog, Computer 1 digital, Computer 2, and Video. This determines which source the projector checks first for active video during power-up. Highlight Default Source and click the left or right mouse button to toggle among the options.
