there should be a bracket with three bolts that hold it in place...

Go here

Click the parts tab and then enter the cub cadet and model LT1024

Then click on PTO system and a exploded diagram will be there to show you the bracket...
anything else you want will be there also.. just look around...

When I turn on the mower deck the amp gauge starts to discharge and the mower blades stop

There is an electric clutch that engages the mower deck and it (or something in the wiring to it ) is shorted out and you will need to repair/replace it.
Or something is moving when you turn on the mower deck and shorting out a wire. Look closely at any movement occurring near any wires and I think you'll find your problem is a cut/bare wire.
You can cut and then splice the wire back together or just wrap it with electrical tape if the bare spot is not too big. Try to re-route the wires away from the pinch/rub point

I have an exmark lazer z hp 523 model # LHP5223KA and the electric clutch broke into. I purchased a new one but need help installing it. How do you keep everything from turning to tighten it? Any help...

The clutch has an orientation groove on it that must line up with the pin on the mowers chassis. Once you line these two up, push straight up and then tighten the bolt. This keeps the clutch from turning while you tighten the bolt.

Electric clutch assemble fell off, broke shaft and cut wires.

Your shaft broke ?going to the engine? crankshaft? Thats strange never seen that before usually keyway is built into clutch. If this is what you describe you need a new crankshaft in your motor. Will probably be expensive.

On the clutch and brake peddle the clutch engadges at the very end of the peddle. The brake is working fine but as you let the peddle out on the last 1/16 of an inch the drive engades. this makes it where...

If you replaced the belt then you know there is a tensioner/guide pulley and another pulley which goes in and out with the clutch pedal movement to take slack out of the belt. I would closely examine both of those as well as the linkage and return spring on the clutch pedal.

Steering problems on our 2005 Cub Cadet LT 1042

Your looking at a new steering gears at the bottom of the shaft. You can fix it if you have the time. You need to hoist the front end into the air....drop the deck, remove the nut on the steering wheel and everything pulls out the bottom of the machine.

If your not handy....send it to a good repair shop.
