It's not called page, it's INTERCOM. On the face of most Panasonic phones, there's a button labeled AUTO ANS. When you press it, it lights up. If the options are set properly, it becomes the Voice Announce/Auto Answer button. Every phone you want to have the VA feature on has to have that button lit. When you call them on the intercom, it will beep twice and your voice will be on the set and they may or may not be able to answer back handsfree.

It requires system programming and theere's a code you can dial to block it.

Ok thanks very much for that. However, There are some people in the office that can actually intercom through to an extension and have it auto answer, without that extension having its auto answer button lit up. Do you know how this works?

In system programming you can set it to receive calls by voice announce or ringing. That's why I said "if the options are set properly". In one, the AA button turns on V/A and handsfree answerback in the other it becomes a MUTE button (no answerback voice).

How do I use the intercom function on a KX-T7731 phone??

Panasonic analog phones plug into analog KSU's and have extension numbers beginning with 101. In additon, you can dial 0 to reach the phone programmed as Operator, and it's usually extension 101.

With the intercom dial tone (press INTERCOM or pick up the handset or press SP PHONE) you can start dialing codes defined in your number plan. You can also program left side buttons to monitor are directly select other extensions or dial codes to page all idle speakers in a 77xx phone.

Note this is specific to TA series systems, but the operation is similar in all Panasonic models.

Transfer calls to voice mail

It depends on what system the 7731 is attached to. If it's a TA system, that you dial either 107 or 115 to get to the Panasonic brand voice mail system, you take a spare button from the left side keys and press PROGRAM the spare button and dial 94+107 or 115 then STORE.

Pick up the handset and drop it back down to end programming. Then label the button VTR. When a call comes in, you press VTR and dial the extension or press the DSS (extension) button. You don't press HOLD or TRANSFER, just the VTR button.

It's all on page 158 of the OM http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/200_TA_OM_07-04%5B1%5D.pdf

If you are not using a TA series system, the instructions may be different.

Is there a way?

I am not sure exactly how to do this on your system. My guess would be while talking to the person you press the voice mail button then either enter the extension number or if you have a direct button for that persons extension press that. Make a test call and try it out.
